Greetings,

The Downey High School Baseball Booster Club is a non-profit organization raising funds for the Vikings Baseball Team at Downey High School located at 11040 Brookshire Avenue in Downey, California.

The Booster’s primary purpose is to generate funds to help support the baseball program, in addition to promote school spirit and a healthy environment for the players and spectators. We believe our student athletes are our highest priority and that the baseball program should be fun and rewarding.

Our goal for the 2019 season is to raise $25,000. The Downey Baseball Boosters have two fundraisers this year, which includes Sponsorship Ads in our Baseball Program and an Opening Day Picnic and raffle. Our baseball Program includes player information and Sponsor Ads, which is sold during our Baseball Season from February to July 2019. This is our largest fundraising campaign over the course of the year. It is as simple as putting in a business card, a quarter page, half page, or full page Ad advertising your business to the Downey Community and visiting teams from nearby communities. Our Baseball Program is in full color. Any monetary donation would be appreciated, if you are not interested in an ad.

This year’s goal is to finish our baseball field renovations. Over the past year, Yanez Field saw many additions because of the many donations from local businesses and the financial support of Downey Unified School District. Because of the generous contributions, our program saw the addition of dugout windscreens, new outfield grass along with a new irrigation system, a new scoreboard, and netting. Unfortunately, in order to maintain one of the best-looking fields in the region, we need to constantly add to the maintenance and upkeep, which is why we have to continue our ongoing efforts to generate funds for our program.
