TTW show pictures of a desert while explaining that deserts only receive 10 inches of rain or less per year. 5. TTW tell students that the average rainfall of Baton Rouge is 61 inches of rain per year and is a deciduous forest. Independent Practice: 1. TSW break into groups of four to work the assignment.

2. TTW ask the students how much rain Baton Rouge receives.

3. TTW ask what the Biome for Louisiana is.

Materials:

· Pictures of rain forests, deciduous forests and deserts

· Computer

· Multimedia

Accommodations:

· Behavioral needs will be met by whole group activities and preferential seating.

· Repeated directions and individual assistance will be used.
