How to Enroll with HEAC )For Omani Nationals only(:

1. Get yourself registered with the Higher Education Admission Center )HEAC( at http://apps.heac.gov.om

between April and June every year.

2. Read carefully the Student Handbook of HEAC, fill up your details as per instructions, get user name and pass

word.

Guidelines for filling up the Application Form:1. Get your 12th Standard or equivalent Certificate equated by the Ministry of Education, Sultanate of

Oman if it is issued by any Board outside Oman.

2. Application form incomplete in any respect is liable to be REJECTED.

3. This application has to be filled in BLOCK CAPITAL LETTERS in ENGLISH only.

4. Write one alphabet only in each box.

5. Write your name as: First Name, Second Name, Third Name and Family Name.

6. Attach self certified copies of all academic qualifications including school reports and official examination

certificates and other relevant documents.

7. Attach certified translation copies of all the certificates that are not in English.

8. Candidates who are employed should submit NO OBJECTION CERTIFICATE from their employer.

9. Attach a certificate related to Disability )if any( from the competent medical authority.

10. Attach TWO recent passport size photographs including one to be pasted on the application form.

11. Attach ONE set of photocopies of passport and ID card of candidate and father/mother/ guardian.

12. Attach money receipt of Omani Rials 25 )Twenty Five( only towards application processing fee.

13. Attach letter from the sponsoring authority )if applicable(.

14. In the box for “Type of Accommodation” the students has to mention whether he/she is staying with

parents/hostel/ as paying guest etc.

15. The applicant may have to appear in an entrance test and /or interview, as per requirements.

16. The decision of WCAS will be final and binding regarding admissions.

Eligibility criteria: 1. Bachelor in Engineering: Candidates must have passed )with minimum 55% in aggregate( in English, Physics,

Mathematics and other 2 subjects )Chemistry/ Biology/ Computer Science/ Information Practice( in class 12th,

Senior Secondary School Certificate or equivalent examination.

2. Bachelor in Computer Application: Candidates must have passed in all subjects )with minimum 50% in

aggregate( in which they have appeared in class 12th, Senior Secondary level or equivalent examination.

)Excluding optional subjects(.

Candidates must have English and Mathematics / Computer Science / Information Practices as compulsory

subjects.

3. Bachelor in Business Administration: Candidates must have passed in all subjects )with minimum 50% in

aggregate( in which they have appeared in class 12 th, Senior Secondary level or equivalent examination

)Excluding optional subjects(. Candidates must have English in Senior Secondary level or equivalent

examination.

4. Bachelor in Business Administration )part – time(: The candidate must have secured 50% marks aggregate in

class 12th, Senior Secondary level OR equivalent Examination. The candidate must be having work experience.

5. Bachelor in Computer application )part – time(: The candidate must have secured 50% marks aggregate in

class 12th, Senior Secondary level OR equivalent Examination. The candidate must be having work experience.

Candidates must have English and Mathematics / Computer Science / Information Practices as compulsory

subjects.

6. Specialization in any course will be offered subject to minimum FIVE students opting for that subject.7. Candidates with valid SAT-II, CBSE-AIEEE or equivalent engineering entrance examination scores may be

exempted from the entrance test for Bachelor level programs.

Rules and Regulations:

1. Semester fee is required to be paid at the beginning of each semester. Students will not be permitted to continue

their course until all outstanding fees are paid.

2. The student is expected to attend all the classes and appear in all tests and examinations during a course and

abide by all rules and regulations of the institute.

3. Minimum attendance should be 75% in each subject to make the student eligible to appear in the End Semester

Examination.

4. In case of absence from the classes due to sickness or any other unavoidable circumstances the student should

intimate the Dean through the Head of the Department in writing with supporting documents. In case of

emergency the student can intimate the Head of the department over phone/ e-mail followed by a written

application )if intimating over phone(.

5. If an applicant in enrolled in a particular course offered by WCAS, it means a binding contract between the

student and WCAS. A registration is defined as one Semester of study at WCAS and student must pay full fees

for that semester.

6. Application of cancellation/withdrawal from the course of study must be made in writing to WCAS.

7. Refund of fee, if admissible, will be based on the date of submission of application in this regard.

8. WCAS reserves the right to withdraw offering a course. In such a case the student will be refunded the paid

tuition fees, caution deposit and registration fee.

9. WCAS reserves the right to grant admission. The responsibility of producing authentic information /documents remains with the student and their parents/ guardians. Any discrepancy found at any stage, will lead to disqualification from the said course and no fee will be refunded in such cases.
