Play pairs and find the matching words. Phonic Hunt – search for objects beginning with ‘p’, ‘s’, ‘b’ and ‘w’. Group the objects together according to their initial sound. Play eye spy with the objects and then try Kim’s Game (close your eyes while one object is taken away, can you guess the missing object?). Play a game of ‘What’s the time Mr Wolf?’ If you can, go outside. Take turns with others to be the wolf.

Make some homemade play dough – use red food colouring or pink paint if you can. Make models of the Three Little Pigs.

If you can, go outside or a walk. Look for different types of sticks. Take a bag with you to collect some interesting ones.

If you have straws at home practise your scissor skills by cutting them different lengths.

Make a pile of the sticks you collected. Have a running race to collect the sticks one at a time and put them in a different place or empty container (e.g. from one end of the garden/park to the other.

Build a house of your own – you could use Lego, Duplo, K’nex, cereal boxes or packaging or even build a den with blankets and furniture.

If you can, log in to HWB.Use Jit5, Turtle and find the Three Pigs themed challenge. Direct the wolf to each of the pigs’ houses. Can you save your work?

Make a mask of the wolf (paper plates are good if you have one).Act out being the wolf – can you pretend being mean? Then act out saying sorry to the pigs.

Where do pigs really live?Use books or the internet to find out where pigs like to live. Why do they like mud?

Identifying Materials – can you find objects and identify their materials including things made of wood, paper, metal and glass? Draw pictures of the things you find.
