SUGGESTED COPY:Hope you all had a great #GivingTuesday! We can’t wait to see the difference you made by donating through the CFC.

Earlier this week you may have already pledged a donation – but did you remember to pledge volunteer hours too? If not, don’t fret – December 5 is International Volunteer Day, and we are gearing up to get in as many hours pledged as possible to celebrate! Soup kitchens, animal shelters, after-school programs, counseling offices, hospitals, and more charities through the CFC accept volunteer hour pledges! Show You Care this year by pledging volunteer hours, then posting about it using #VolunteerDayCFC, to help those in need right in your community, and get the word out. Don’t forget to release your name when you make a pledge so the charity can reach out to you when the time comes to volunteer!

The CFC and CFC-supported charities are thankful for YOU this year and all you do to help. And those in need will also be thankful for your pledged hour – or ten, or twenty – when you take the time to Show You Care and volunteer with a charity.

December 4(one day before International Volunteer Day)

SUGGESTED COPY:Tomorrow is International Volunteer Day! Do you know which CFC-supported charity you are going to pledge hours to and lend a helping hand? Now is the perfect time to look through the CFC charities at https://cfcgiving.opm.gov/offerings and pick out a charity (or two!) working in your favorite cause area. There are tons of great charities that accept both volunteer hours and pledged gifts. This year, go the extra mile and extend a helping hand when you Show You Care by pledging volunteer hours.

Relieve someone’s burden this year and Show You Care when you donate your valuable time in addition to your dollars! Let’s show our collective strength and make this day the most successful in CFC history yet, and pledge those volunteer hours to your favorite CFC-supported charity TODAY! Help get the word out by using “#VolunteerDayCFC” on social media, and tagging the CFC(ZONE)!

Will you plant trees with a conservatory, walk dogs at a shelter, feed the homeless at a soup kitchen, coach kids after school, or deliver hot meals to the elderly? Decide which organization is right for you to pledge volunteer hours at: https://cfcgiving.opm/gov/offerings . Be sure to follow through with the charity regarding your hours when you’re ready to fulfill your pledge.
