InsuranceThe entry fee covers Public Liability Insurance as the exhibitor will become a Friend of Poltimore House for one year. Being a Friend brings other advantages you may wish to use during the year (see web site for further details)

Exhibits themselves are not insured and exhibitors are advised that there is no on site security outside the hours of the exhibition, although the main house is locked and alarmed. It is the artist’s responsibility to insure their work for display and transit.

DisplayDue to the unique nature of the venue and exhibition space, exhibitors are asked to consider how they wish to display their work that will have no impact on the integrity of the Grade 2* listed building. The grounds are also available should anyone wish to exhibit work outside – there are no restrictions as to size of the work, however there is no on site security overnight at Poltimore House.

SalesArtists will be responsible for their own sales and delivery to the purchaser. Space will be provided in the chapel for sales to be completed and for small items such as postcards, business cards and marketing material. It is important therefore that the artist or their representative be present throughout the exhibition (unless all work is exhibited Not For Sale). Exhibitors may wish to form groups to share this responsibility.

Sold items will be marked with a red dot and may not be removed until after the exhibition has closed. No commission will be charged on the sale of any work shown at the exhibition.

StewardingVolunteers from Poltimore will be present in the House as general stewards and serving refreshments in the chapel. However exhibitors are expected to share the responsibility of stewarding the exhibition inside the main House.
