Prior to visit: - Discuss what you love about the planet, look for photographs and possibly print a selection to bring. - Look at website www.theclimate.org.uk/show-the-love to see what people love about the world - Take photos of places that are special to you in your local area, send over or bring them with you to the link. - Read and discuss the book Here We Are by Oliver Jeffers On the day - Look at both classes ideas about places they love. How do we all live together?Prior to visit:- Discuss what you love about the planet, look for

photographs and possibly print a selection to bring. - Look at website www.theclimate.org.uk/show-the-love to

see what people love about the world- Take photos of places that are special to you in your local

area, send over or bring them with you to the link. - Read and discuss the book Here We Are by Oliver Jeffers On the day - Look at both classes ideas about places they love. Each pair

decide 2 things they love about the world and create bunting.

- Create artwork together inspired by the photos.- Or 3d plasticine/playdough models- Make green hearts with pictures or words about things that

you love from #showthelove - On an outline of Planet Earth, draw places, animals and

people that are special to you as a group-

Prior to visit:- Pre watch the UN Home video and discuss in class

about places that are special to us & share with partners.

On the day: - Look at fun pictures of different houses (PPT) and in

pairs or groups build a mini home for a pebble/build dens in groups/junk models of homes/lego houses.

Who am I and Who are we?Prior to visit: - Read the book Only One You- Choose wisdom/advice from the book to share with

one another On the day- Games: Birthday Game, Change places, Human

Bingo- Art and craft: Make unique fish out of different

materials (Eg, acetate suncatcher fish with metallic pens stones, collage, bottles, paper plates, felt,).You could make suncatcher fish using acetate and metallic pens – maybe swap fish?

- Drama: Freeze frames, spectrum lines, mimes of things we likes.

- Music: Rhythms of names, body percussion and chants to make a mini performance.
