The Sabbath School and Mission

The Sabbath school should be one of the greatest instrumentalities, and the most effectual, in bringing souls to Christ. Counsels on Sabbath School Work, 10:2

What can we do in the 8-15 minutes dedicated to mission on Sabbath morning? It’s clear that we cannot do much in this brief time. But we can talk about mission, pray for the mission, present projects and people to the Lord in prayer. It isn’t a time for doing, but for thinking, planning, dedicating yourself and getting involved.

To summarize it is a time for: Sharing experiences Considering who to reach and who is close Reflecting and motivating Co-ordinating and organizing Praying for the mission Encouraging each other to witness Supporting and encouraging initiatives and meetings outside the Sabbath school hours within the Sabbath

school group

Mission becomes important and its themes become central to the life of the Sabbath school group.
