The impact of the reformation on the development of education across the world has been remarkable and there are thousands of church schools across the continents that are there as a direct result of the seeds sown as Martin Luther published his 95 Theses at Wittenberg in 1517. www.schools500reformation.net/ is the concept that has been developed to facilitate this coming together of a global network and it offers the chance to link electronically with schools throughout the world. You can help church schools in England and Wales to contribute to this very worthwhile endeavour by registering your school on the website . From 20 May to 10 September 2017 the Schools 500 Reformation team will be in Wittenberg as part of the World Reformation Exhibition . The exhibition will be housed in an Education Pavilion which will be an open structure made of steel, wood, sails and living, climbing plants. Schools from across the world are invited to support the Education Pavilion by adding your unique perspective as one school within a wonderfully diverse and vibrant Protestant community. The Schools 500 Reformation Team will use the contributions sent in from schools across the world to create an interactive digital world map. Further information and suggestions about what to send in will be on the Schools 500 Reformation website soon. There is also the opportunity for groups of 6 th form students to take part in the celebrations in Wittenberg at the International Schools Camp (22-27 June 2017) and at the Global Schools 500 Reformation Day (23 June 2017).
