Hello neighbors! We hope you are safe and well. We pray for anyone infected by this virus and for the medical people who risk their lives to help them. We also feel sad for those who have lost their jobs. Fortunately, there is a way we can help from the safety of our homes. PROGRAM DETAILSHelp4Hope is a community-wide economic stimulus program created by the Watterson Family Foundation, Hilton Head Bluffton Chamber of Commerce and a team of local leaders. The goal is to raise $5,000,000 to inject back into our economy over the next eight weeks to feed families, support restaurants and save jobs.

HOW IT WORKSHelp4Hope “Community Investment Cards” are funded by donations and distributed to those affected by this pandemic. Recipients redeem these cards at participating restaurants for a “family meal pack for 4.” Restaurants are then reimbursed $50 per card through the Help4Hope fund thus feeding families, supporting restaurants and saving jobs in the food-service industry.

HOW CAN YOU HELP?

WHO COULD YOU GIVE CARDS TO?Anyone and everyone affected by the pandemic. This is not an act of charity. It’s an opportunity to shine a light of hope in a time of darkness. To send the message that we see you, we remember you, we appreciate you.

• Essential Employees: Giving a card to an essential employee is an opportunity to express gratitude for the services they’re providing. First responders, fire stations, police station, ER’s, walk in clinics etc.

- Managers and employees at your local grocery store, gas station, Walmart, Post Office, UPS. Any business staying open to serve you.

- Delivery drivers, Instacart, Shipt, UPS, Fed Ex, Amazon, USPS mail carriers

• Small Businesses/Self-Employed Professionals: Giving a card to small business owners or self employed professionals is an opportunity to acknowledge how this pandemic has affected them (many of who are out of work) and to express gratitude for the services they’ve provided and will hopefully provide again.

- Servers, bartenders, musicians, hair dressers, manicurists, esthetician’s, fitness instructors, day care providers, cleaning services, dog walkers, boutique owners/clerks. *Consider sending a message on their Facebook page asking where you could mail a card.
