Simon Hudson is a singer-songwriter whose highly original music weaves a captivating blend of world, roots and folk, with influences including The Cat Empire, Jose Gonzalez, Neil Finn, and Paul Simon. Based in Melbourne, Australia, he has twice toured with his band throughout Europe and Australia and played numerous festivals and shows.

5th August 2016 sees the worldwide launch of album Earthman on German label Songs and Whis-pers, distributed by Broken Silence. Three singles from the album have already been released: Do Me A Favour, Never Knew Why, and I Know You’ll Be Alright. Funds for the album were raised us-ing crowdfunder Pozible, with more than $10,000 invested.

Many of the songs on album Earthman were created during periods where Simon was examining his place in the world. To fully experience and process his feelings and thoughts, he wrote them down, chewed them over, to see what would result. He was focused to see the world as a whole, and the similarities between us all. That is why this album called Earthman – because we are a global species, and most experiences are shared by all humanity. Everyone can find something true and potent in these songs, dealing with love, friendship, hope, dedication and tenderness.

His 2012 EP Time And Space is a remarkable showcase of skilled songwriting, addictive roots rhythms and honest lyricism. In Jul 2016 his second European tour took him around Germany with more than 14 dates in 8 cities. This followed his Australian tour Flight of the Earthman in Jan 2016.
