We need EVERY student to donate 1 item for the stone soup we will be making and sharing w/Ms. Wieber’s class on Tuesday, Nov. 20 th .Please send in your assigned item on Nov. 19 th . Hopefully, your Thanksgiving holiday will be great! We have been studying all about Thanksgiving and its traditions. WATCH for a special thankful letter/gift for you to come home this week. We will sometimes do this with word problems and in sometimes in sentence form. WE ARE CONCENTRATING ON “MAKING TEN” to do our addition, and then taking away from that ‘ten’ to subtract. Upcoming for December: We will take an overall test in Words Their Way (spelling), to regroup students appropriately. We will also be taking the district mid tests in reading and in math (DVELA/DVMA). When you receive your ‘Student Snapshot’ in your child’s report card in the first week in January, you will receive the updates on your child’s scores.

After Christmas: We will begin studying Winter and Christmas Around the World (Christmas in different countries).

Math We will continue adding and subtracting numbers to 20. We will sometimes do this with word problems and in sometimes in sentence form. WE ARE CONCENTRATING ON “MAKING TEN” to do our addition, and then taking away from that ‘ten’ to subtract. Module 2…Lessons 25-27 this week.
