How To Make A Scented Candle

Making candles is a craft that is simple to preform and has a useful purpose by the end. Candles can be made by people of all ages and are an easy activity, perfect for the craft lovers out there. Candles make for spectacular decorations and are able to be hand crafted to suite the intended individual’s tastes. The color and scent of every candle can be different, which makes their fun! Candles also make great gifts. If you want to make a personalized and thoughtful gift then candle making is for you. Candles only take fifteen minutes to assemble, however they require at least 6 hours to harden.

Tools for making a candle: Optional:

4 Cups of Candle Wax Wax Crayons (for color) Candle Wick Glass Holder (make sure holder can withstand heat) Super Glue Scented Oil (whichever scent you prefer)

Directions

Step 1: Put your candle wax in a microwave safe bowl and place in the microwave for 5 minutes or until your wax is completely melted.

Optional: If you want some color in your candle break up some crayons and melt them in your microwave safe bowl with your candle wax. Make sure you remove the paper first.

Step 2: Stir two tablespoons of your desired scented oil into your melted wax. Pick any scent you want, I chose vanilla extract.

Step 3: Take your super glue and glue your candle wick to the bottom of your glass container.

Step 4: After your glue has set, pour your melted wax into your candle holder.

Step 5: Allow your candle to cool completely, and you’re all done!
