Day 1: Today we fly into Detroit, Michigan and travel to Allen Park where the quaint Greenfield Inn will host our stay for the next two evenings. This evening, dinner is included at the Edsel Ford Estates, followed by a guided tour of the mansion. (D)

Day 2: Today take a compelling step back in time with a visit to historic Greenfield Village and Henry Ford Museum. American History comes to life in Greenfield Village as we stroll the quaint streets, view the homes and browse through the workshops and mills that helped spark the Industrial Revolution. The Henry Ford Museum features over twelve acres of artifacts, inventions and mementos of American History. (B,D)

Day 3: After breakfast, we bid farewell to Dearborn and make our way into northern Michigan. We arrive early afternoon in Mackinaw City where we will board our ferry for the short ride to Mackinac Island. Our home for the next two evenings will be the gracious Island House, overlooking the Straits of Mackinac. (Horses, buggies and bicycles are the only transportation allowed on the island!) This evening, dinner is served at the hotel. (B,D)

Day 4: After breakfast, we are met by our horse drawn carriage for a tour of such scenic and historic sites as Arch Rock and Surrey Hill. Midday, we arrive at the magnificent Grand Hotel where an outstanding luncheon awaits us. The rest of your day is free to explore the island on your own during the 67th Annual Lilac Festival. (B,L)

Day 5: We enjoy breakfast again this morning before we take leave of the majesty of Mackinac Island. We board our ferry for the crossing to St. Ignace where we board our motor coach for a ride over the impressive bridge over the Straits of Mackinac. We head south through Bay City and Saginaw before we arrive early afternoon in Frankenmuth, the quaint Bavarian Village settled in 1845. Here, we check into our comfortable accommodations at the Bavarian Inn Lodge. We have time this afternoon for a narrated tour of the area where we view the shop lined streets, School Haus Square, and the Glockenspiel Tower at the Bavarian Inn. Tonight, a special treat is in store as we enjoy a famous Frankenmuth family style dinner at the Bavarian Inn Restaurant. (B,D)

Day 6: Today begins with breakfast. You’ll have time to explore Bonners, the largest Christmas store in the world. Later you'll be transferred to Detroit airport for your return flight home. (B)
