General Guidelines:

The competitions will be conducted in three categories on the same day ie., 28th October 2017.

The categories are 1) Inter school Quiz 2) Inter school Cultural 3) Inter school Science Exhibition.

The overall Prize will be awarded in each category of Competition. The competitor can compete in only one category and also only one

event. The winner team of “NPR Inter School Competitions 2017 for the

best performing school will be awarded, with a cash award of `5000 /- The runner up will awarded a cash award of `3000 /-

Third prize will be awarded of `2000 /-

The registration is free. The competition is open for school students only (9th to 12th standard).

The winners of individual events will be awarded excellence certificates. Participating schools should produce a bonafide certificate duly signed

by the HM / Principal of the school. Participation certificates will be given to all the participant. The programme will be conducted on 28th October 2017 between

9.30a.m. and 4.00p.m. The registration will close sharply close at 9.15a.m. The participants must contact the reception desk when they reach the college premises.

The decision of the jury will be final and binding. The organizers alone can be contacted for any clarification before,

during and after the meet. The team order for all events will be by draw of lots only. The first three prizes will be decided by the total points obtained by a

particular team. The points for individual events: First position 25 points, second 10

points, third 5 points.

In case of tie the winner will be decided based on the number of Ist

prizes won by the team. All materials including stationery must be brought by the participants. Improper dress code and behavior of on stage and off stage events will

attract disqualification. The participants should bring their own recorded CD / Pen Drive. The

contents shall be loaded in advance to avoid time delay. The participants must compulsorily stick to time duration specified.

The performance beyond the time limit will not be considered for evaluation.

The teams must be compulsorily accompanied by a male and female teacher (If girl students are participating).

Canteen facility is available round the clock. The participants should not involve politics, colour, gender, caste or

any other personal statements of bias directly or indirectly in any of their programme.

The participants can participate in any event of their choice for which prior registration should have been done at the registration desk. However they should be present in the venue at the exact time of starting. The organizers are not responsible for overlapping of events, which is the responsibility of the team to manage time.

In every event only one team per school only will be allowed per school.

One participant can participate in one event only. Registration form filled and duly signed by the Principal / HM shall be

sent on or before 23rd October 2017at 04.00 pm to the following address.

GUIDELINES FOR INTERSCHOOL CULTURALS

Inter School Science Exhibition

Only one team per school one is allowed to participate. A Maximum of 10 participants and minimum of 8

participants can participate in a team. The exhibits must be working models. The exhibits can be stored a day prior to the programme at the

allotted place. However the models can be assembled only on the day of Exhibition in the presence of the judges.

The evaluation will be based on creativity, presentation and application to the society.

Working models only shall only be exhibited and NO specific topic is given for the Science Exhibition.

Guide lines for Inter School Quiz

Two categories – I -> 9th and 10th Std.,II -> 11th and 12th Std.,

There will be a preliminary round followed by a final round for the best SIX teams in the preliminary.

The topics will include Current affairs, Science, Social Science, Environment, Sports, Computer and General Awareness.

In case of a tie on the spot questions will be asked.

As You Like it

A Maximum of 10 participants and minimum of 8 participants can participate in a team.

Both Boys and Girls can enroll in a team. However a team can compress either boys or girls only.

Duration is 5 to 6 Minutes. Individual performance, group performance, standup comedy,

mimicry, mono acting, mime, group song, instrumental music, dance, drama or any other activity can be done

Performance, perfection and message to the society will be considered for evaluation.

Politics and vulgarity will attract disqualification.

Dumb Charade

A Maximum of Four participants and minimum of two participants can participate.

Theme can be cinema, Tamil Quote, Tamil Cine song and celebrity.

One has to act others to find Evaluation is based on the time. Letters should be written on air or any place Vulgarity in the theme will lead to disqualification.

ADS UP

A Maximum of Four participants can participate and minimum of two participants can participate.

Maximum three minutes only allowed Only one product is to get advertised. Number of scripts can be used. Any property can be used with purpose. Vulgarity in the Advertisement will lead to disqualification.

Group Dance ( Classical )

A Maximum of 10 members and minimum of 8 members can participate in a team.

Duration is 5 to 6 Minutes Songs shall be taken from album or cinema Uniformity, Costumes and performance will be considered for

evaluation. Vulgarity in the song or dance will lead to disqualification.

PENCIL DRAWING

A Maximum of Six participants and minimum of two participants can participate.

White chart and Pencil should be brought by the participant. Theme will be given in the competition spot. Time limit is 45 minutes. Style of drawing, presentation and relevance to the topic will be

considered for judgment. Any Number of participants can participate. Prizes for ONE

participant only.

Hair Do ( Girls only)

A Maximum of four participants and minimum of two participants can participate.

Partners should be brought by the participant. All necessary materials for styling hair must be brought by the

contestant. Wigs, readymade hair should not be used. Time limit is 45 minutes The evaluation will be on Presentation, hair style and hair

decoration. Any Number of participants can participate. Only one prize

for the team.

Art from Waste

A Maximum of four participants and minimum of two participants can participate.

Relevant materials must be brought by the participant. Any number of items can be made. Usage of waste, low cost and used materials will be appreciated. Time limit is 45 minutes Art work, number of artistic work and waste usage will be

considered for evaluation. Any Number of participants can participate and only one

prize for the team.

Certification
