1. INTRODUCTION (ARIAL NARROW, 12 PT, BOLD, TOGGLE CASE, SPACE: BEFORE 18PT., AFTER 9PT.)

This document gives formatting instructions for authors preparing papers for publication in the Journal of Advanced Technologies and Materials. The authors must follow the instructions given in the document for the papers to be published. You can use this document as both an instruction set and as a template into which you can type your own text. An electronic copy can be downloaded from the journal website. Manuscript must be prepared in MS Word only and should be formatted for direct printing. Figures and tables should be embedded and not supplied separately. Paper should be proof-read and have English language errors corrected before submission as we may have to return papers due to poor language usage.Your paper must use a page size corresponding to A4 which is 210mm wide and 297mm long. The margins must be set as follows:

Top = Bottom = 20mm Left = Right = 20mm Page Setup, Layout, check Diferent First Page,

Header 20mm and Footer 15mmYour paper must be in two column format with a space of

5 mm between columns (equal column width). All paragraphs must be justified. The main text should be in Times New Roman font except for section headings and captions which are typed in Arial Narrow font. Please use the styles, fonts and point sizes as defined in this template and do not change or redefine them in any way.Introduction should provide a review of the recent literature on the topic and sufficient background information to allow the results of the article to be understood and evaluated. In the Introduction section, state the motivation for the work presented in your paper and prepare readers for the structure of the paper.

2. STRUCTURE OF THE PAPER Follow this order when typing manuscripts: Title, Authors, Affiliations, Abstract, Keywords, Body text (including figures and tables), Conclusion, Acknowledgements, References, Appendix. Collate acknowledgements in a separate section at the end of the article and do not include them on the title page, as a footnote to the title or otherwise. Title must be in 16 pt Bold, Italic font. Every word in a title must be capitalized except for short minor words

such as “a”, “an”, “and”, “as”, “at”, “by”, “for”, “from”, “if”, “in”, “into”, “on”, “or”, “of”, “the”, “to”, “with”.Author name must be in 12 pt Bold, Italic font. Author affiliation must be in 9 pt Italic. Email address is compulsory for the corresponding author. Email address of corresponding author is given in footer of the first page and should be in 9 pt Italic font. All title and author details must be in single-column format and must be centered. Author details must not show any professional title (e.g. Managing Director), any academic title (e.g. Dr.) or any membership of any professional organization. To avoid confusion, the family name must be written as the last part of each author name (e.g. John A.K. Smith).

2.1 Section headings (Arial Narrow, 10 pt., bold, italic, space: before 18 pt., after 9pt.))

You may organize the body of your paper into subsections or sub-subsections. No more than 3 levels of headings should be used. Headings should reflect the relative importance of the sections.Section headings (first level heading) should be left justified, with the first letter capitalized (font Arial Narrow, size 12 pt, bold, toggle case, spacing: before 18 pt., after 9pt.) and numbered consecutively, starting with the Introduction. "Acknowledgment" and "References" are non numbered headings. For them use the same style as applied for section headings (first level heading). All the sub-section headings should be in capital and lower-case italic, 10 pt., bold, numbered 1.1, 1.2, 1.3, i.e. 1.1.1, 1.1.2 etc., and left justified. All headings should have a minimum of three text lines after them before a page or column break. Ensure the text area is not blank except for the last page.

2.1.1 General guidelines for preparation of text (Arial Narrow, 10 pt., bold, italic, space: before 12 pt., after 9 pt.)

Avoid hyphenation at the end of a line. Please ensure that all tables, figures and schemes are cited in the text in numerical order. Abbreviations should be used consistently throughout the text. All abbreviations must be spelt out in full when the first time mentioned and followed by the abbreviation in parentheses, e.g. Finite Element Method (FEM). The meaning of symbols and units belonging to symbols should be explained in each case or cited in a nomenclature section at the end of the manuscript before the References.Symbols denoting vectors and matrices should be indicated in bold type. Scalar variable names and symbols for physical quantities in the text should be written in italics (e.g. v, T, n, etc.). Weights and measures should be expressed in SI units. Symbols for units that consist of letters should be in plain text (e.g. ms-1, K, min, mm, etc.). Please also check: http://physics.nist.gov/cuu/pdf/sp811.pdf.

2.1.2. Figure

All photographs, schemas, illustrations, graphs, charts and diagrams are to be referred to as figures. Every figure should have a caption. Figures should be placed at the top or bottom of a page wherever possible, as close as possible to the first reference to them in the paper and. centered in the column. Large figures may span across both columns. Any figure that takes up more than 1 column width must be positioned either at the top or at the bottom of the page. All figures should be numbered with Arabic numerals (1,2,3,….) and cited in consecutive numerical order in the text and referred to in both the text and the captions as Fig. 1, Fig. 2, etc. If a figure is composed of several parts, please mark each part with a), b), c), etc. and provide an explanation for each part in Figure caption. If two images fit next to each other, these may be placed next to each other to save space. For example, see Fig. 1.

Fig. 1 Example of picture (a) first picture; (b) second picture. (space: before 6 pt., after 9.pt)

Figures should be prepared without borders and on white grounding. Line drawings should be good quality scans or true electronic output. Low-quality scans are not acceptable. In MS word input the figures must be properly coded. Preferred format of figures are TIFF, JPEG, GIF, BMP etc. Lettering and symbols should be clearly defined either in the caption or in a legend provided as part of the figure. Letters and numbers should be readable (Arial or Times New Roman, minimum 8 pt, with equal sizes and fonts in all figures). Please ensure that all the figures are of 300 DPI resolutions as this will facilitate good output. The figure number and caption should be typed below the figure in Arial Narrow font, 9 pt., and aligned center.

2.1.3 TablesTables must be embedded into the text and not supplied separately. Place tables as close as possible to the text they refer to and aligned center. Every table should have a separate title (caption). All tables should be numbered with Arabic numerals in consecutive numerical order in the text and labeled in both the text and the captions as Table 1, Table 2, etc. The table label (caption) should be placed above tables, left justified. Only horizontal lines should be used within a table, to distinguish the column headings from the body of the table, and immediately above and below the table. Tables should be prepared using a table editor and not inserted as a graphic. Table text should be uniform font and font size, and use 9 pt. font size and Times New Roman style. Sources and notes appear below the table, aligned left. All tables must be in portrait orientation. Below is an example which the authors may find useful.

2.1.4 ListFor tabular summations that do not deserve to be presented as a table, lists may be included. Lists may be either numbered or bulleted. Below you see examples of both.

1. The first entry in this list (indentation: left 0.5cm)2. The second entry

2.1 A subentry (indentation: left 0.9cm)3. The last entry

A bulleted list item Another one (indentation: left 0.9cm)

2.1.5 EquationsEquations should be indented at the left margin and numbered at the right margin, equation number is enclosed with open and close parenthesis () Equations should be numbered consecutively with Arabic numerals and referred in the text as Eq. (1), Eq. (2), etc. In multiple-line equations, the number should be given on the last line. They should also be separated from the surrounding text by one space.

2.1.6 Decimal notationA period/full stop (never a comma) is used as the decimal point (54.78, not 54,78). The number of decimal places should be consistent within a list or context (The response rates were 28.0 and 14.4 percent, respectively, not 41 and 47.4 percent), unless different precisions are actually intended. Nouns following a number expressed as a decimal are plural (averaging 0.8 months).

2.1.6 FootnotesFootnotes should be avoided if possible. Necessary footnotes should be denoted in the text by consecutive

superscript letters. The footnotes should be typed single spaced, and in smaller type size (7 pt), at the foot of the page in which they are mentioned, and separated from the main text by a one line space extending at the foot of the column. Please do not change the margins of the template as this can result in the footnote falling outside printing range.

3. CONCLUSIONS

In Conclusion section you should present your results, relate the results to the aims, show how the findings and results agree or disagree with previously published literature, indicate the significance of the results, specify any implications they might have for future use etc. Further, pointed out all the advantages and limitations of the used method(s) as well as the application areas. Suggest future work or planned follow-up research. Please, not repeat information from introduction and discussion sections. In general, a good conclusion should explain why your results and the whole paper is important.

ACKNOWLEDGEMENTS Acknowledgements (optional) and Reference heading should be left justified, bold, with the first letter capitalized but have no numbers. Text below continues as normal. Please note the source of funding for the research.

REFERENCES References must be listed at the end of the paper. Do not begin them on a new page unless this is absolutely necessary. Authors should ensure that every reference in the text appears in the list of references and vice versa. Number the reference items consecutively in square brackets (e.g. [1]). When referring to a reference item, please simply use the reference number, as in [3]. Do not use “Ref. [4]” or “Reference [4]” except at the beginning of a sentence, e.g. “Reference [4] shows …”. Multiple references are each numbered with separate brackets (e.g. [3], [4], [5]–[7]).Unless there are six authors or more give all authors’ names; do not use “et al.”. Papers that have been accepted for publication but not printed should be cited as “in press”. Capitalize only the first word in a paper title, except for proper nouns and element symbols. Please use Regular and Italic styles to distinguish different fields as shown in the References section. Some examples of how your references should be listed are given bellow, which will allow you to assemble your reference list according to the correct format.

APPENDIX

A Details given in appendix

In some cases detailed information for other scientists is placed in the appendix, primarily because it is not what most readers want to know first. Multiple appendices should all have headings in the style used here. They should be left-justified and numbered using an uppercase alphabetic letters, e.g. A, B, C etc.

A.1. Example of a sub-heading within an appendix

There is also the option to include a subheading within the Appendix if you wish.

B. For author(s).

Ethic statements of our journal are based on COPE's Best Practice Guidelines for Journal Editors. The author warrants that the article is original, written by stated author/s, has not been published before and it will not be submitted anywhere else for publication prior to acceptance/rejection by editorial boar of Journal of Advanced Technologies and Materials, contains no unlawful statements, does not infringe the rights of others, and that any necessary written permissions to quote from other sources have been obtained by the author/s.

C. For reviewers

Reviewers should identify relevant published work that has not been cited by the authors. Any statement that an observation, derivation, or argument had been previously reported should be accompanied by the relevant citation. A reviewer should also call to the editor's attention any substantial similarity or overlap between the manuscript under consideration and any other published paper of which they have personal knowledge.
