Honors U.S. History Expectations Honors US History is as hard or harder than a college survey history course. It is difficult to earn an “A” in an Honors course. Only students who are motivated, persistent, and take initiative for their learning do well in Honors classes. Consistency and Attendance is also very important. Hard work is MANDATORY! Students will learn much more in an Honors course than any regular class (Content and Skills). Honors students will have more written assignments therefore students who take Honors classes usually do much better in college. Students will have readings, assignments, and projects to complete outside of the classroom. Students will read at least one novel through the year (Uncle Tom’s Cabin) on top of the other assignments. Students will become much better students with a great appreciation for the United States by the end of the course. This summary is meant to highlight key points about the course. I have read, understood, and will abide by all of the provisions listed above.
