SENIOR EXIT PROJECTSPortfolio Numbering Instructions for Word
Using 114 Printer ONLY
If it is a digital Word file that you already have saved:1. Click on the Insert tab
a. Click HeaderEdit Header (this puts you in the Header/Footer Tool Tab where all the necessary tools are—make sure you are in this tab to do any changes to the header)
b. Click CONTROL-R to right align the textc. Type header and space once (USE FONT & HEADER THAT MATCHES YOUR RESEARCH PAPER)d. Click Page NumberCurrent PositionPlain Numbere. Determine the header is the appropriate distance from the top of page and clears all existing text
2. To adjust the starting number:a. Make sure you still have the page number selected in the headerb. Click Page NumberFormat Page Numberc. Then choose the proper starting number in the Page Numbering Start At section in the dialog box
If it is a document that is already printed on an 8½ x11 inch page:
1. Prepare the page numbering as indicated in the steps above on a blank Word document2. Click File
a. Click Printb. Click Printer Properties
i. Click the Paper Tray Tabii. Click the Paper Source down arrow
iii. Choose MPF (manual paper feed)iv. Click OK
3. Open the manual feed tray in the front center of the printer (DO NOT OPEN THE DOOR using levers on the right)4. Organize the pages that need numbering in order; THEN REVERSE THE ORDER AND place printed paper
face down (printed side down) in the manual feed tray5. Click Print
