Hernwood Elementary School is excited to announce that we will host two small, socially distanced ceremonies for all our fifth grade Seniors on the Hernwood campus.  During the ceremony, BCPS guidance regarding social distancing, large gatherings, and wearing of masks must be followed. 

Fifth Grade Farewell for Ms. Jordan and Mrs. Branch’s homerooms will take place Wednesday, June 16, 2021 from 9:45 A.M. – 10:15 A.M.Fifth Grade Farewell for Ms. Phillips and Ms. Bacon’s homerooms will take place Wednesday, June 16, 2021 from 11:00 A.M. – 11:30 A.M. Cohort C students in Ms. Jordan and Mrs. Branch’s classes participating in the first ceremony should arrive at the campus at 9:30 A.M. to line up for the socially distanced procession. Cohort C students in in Ms. Phillips and Ms. Bacon’s classes participating in the second ceremony should arrive at the campus at 10:45 A.M. to line up for the socially distanced procession.

Ceremony Guidelines

Each family will receive 2 tickets per family, NO EXCEPTIONS. Any younger siblings attending the ceremony require tickets and should

arrive with the 1 parent/guardian attending since there are only 2 guests permitted per family.

All guests will need to exit the campus immediately following the ceremony to allow our staff the opportunity to sanitize the area for our

second ceremony and to ensure available parking for guests of our second ceremony.

Families can sign their student out after the ceremony. Masks must be worn throughout the entire ceremony and time on

campus. There will be no admittance to the building for bathrooms. Please park in the front parking lot and arrive at the campus starting at

9:30A.M. Tickets will be checked in the front parking lot.
