Organisation overviewThe Bridge is a vibrant not-for-profit organisation that provides social, educational and support programs to meet community needs based in the Darebin LGA. We value community ownership and management and provide our services free from discrimination. We are a registered charity and Public Benevolent Institution.

The organisation has 5 main areas of activity across multiple sites. Education: the Bridge offers a range of pre-accredited training, employment programs, skills-based

programs, health and wellbeing programs. Children’s Services: the Bridge offers 3-year-old kinder and occasional care for up to 30 children per

session. In addition we run contracted childcare for Melbourne AMEP. Community programs: the Bridge offers community engagement through social programs, a food

program, interest groups, volunteer opportunities and community meeting space. Venue hire: We have numerous spaces across four different sites. These are available for meetings,

private functions, ongoing business hire and workshops.

Social enterprise café: Moon Rabbit operates as a training site for TTT students, and all profits go toward underfunded community programs at the Bridge.

The TTT program The TTT program is for young adults with additional and diverse learning needs. The program

provides pre-employment training and work-readiness skills via classroom activities, group work and hands-on learning at Moon Rabbit café and the Bridge. The program focuses on building confidence and identifying the unique skillset of each student.

The program is designed to address the challenges experienced by learners with additional needs to finding and keeping satisfying employment. The program responds to community feedback about the importance of a training offering that can provide a bridge to employment or further education. While the training aspect is very important, there is also a strong emphasis on supporting participants through the key transition stages.

Key responsibilitiesAs the TTT Program Lead you will play a pivotal role in the successful delivery of the TTT program. You will deliver a program that prepares and supports participants to become work-ready while also developing their ability to identify and manage critical stages of transition. You will be responsible for the associated documentation and compliance of an ACFE program – content planning and production.

Program design and development

Design and document curriculum, including session plans and resources within the scope of TTT ACFE modules (course plans).

Design and modify educational resources and delivery modes to meet diverse learning needs of participants.

Develop quality training resources, which may involve working with subject matter experts and third parties.

Design evaluation methodology and tools to assess the effectiveness of training using surveys, questionnaires, interviews and by observation, in order to plan future training requirements and to amend existing ones as part of the continuous improvement practice.

Analyse student information/feedback and provide judgement for ongoing improvement in training sessions.

Compile all required ACFE documentation: student surveys, evidence of work, tutor evaluations, record of results, attendance sheets for each module. Use the learnings from moderation meetings to update and enhance the curriculum and course plans for each TTT module.

Content delivery and classroom management Develop quality relationships with participants to engage them in learning that assist them to

develop strategies to manage transition stages. Promote an inclusive and stimulating classroom environment to encourage independent learning,

delivering activities that are innovative and relevant to the participants’ interests and needs. Using the principles of adult learning and student-centred learning, support participants to see

themselves as learners and to gain the confidence to make decisions about their own futures.

Support participants to identify their existing skills and skills gaps and develop their plans accordingly.

Develop intervention strategies for those students who require additional assistance. Monitor, evaluate and report on student progress in key learning areas and implement strategies to

support students to achieve their learning outcomes. Complete class attendance records and student reports.

Program development and logistics Plan, coordinate and schedule all aspects of the program including external partnerships with

industry and other organisations. Plan, coordinate and schedule guest speakers and workshops. Supervise the Education Support Worker and TTT volunteers. Support the Education Support Worker to maintain positive working relationships with referrers

(including DES providers) throughout the program and oversee the final engagements with providers.

Engage local business in order to develop volunteer opportunities and excursion calendar. Develop project-based application of classroom knowledge through events such as the Makers

Market or Annual General Meeting. Work in partnership with other team members to coordinate and deliver the TTT program, with the

use of timely, regular and effective communications (both written and verbal). In partnership with the Bridge managers, support the growth of key stakeholder and partner

relationships and ongoing communications. Undertake ACFE reporting and prepare other reports as required.
