Did you spend spring break catching up on classes when you wanted to be dancing on the beach? Take time for a sanity saving virtual vacation. While feeling a bit wanderlusty, I stumbled on a website called the Geographical Cure. I made tapas, put my feet up, and toured Barcelona using their pictures, descriptions, and links to design my own tour of la Ciudad Condal.

And what a whirlwind tour it was, without me losing my breath! Imeandered through the Gothic Quarter (Barrio Gótico), visited the beautiful Palau de la Música, and took selfies in front of 14th-century churches and 11th-century castles. Then, in less than five minutes, I traveled over 500 miles to Kansas City's sister city, Seville, for some flamenco dancing.

No spring vacation is complete without a trip to the ocean. Without a worry about taking the correct train or bus, I was on the beach at Lloret de Mar in Costa Brava, reading a paperback with the sun on my face and my garden hose sprinkling water on my toes. For art,  take a virtual tour of the Louvre or, for science, explore the Natural History Museum at South Kensington. For animated whimsy, the Ghibli Museum in Mitaka is a must-see!And what Roo wouldn’t love a Roo-cation to sunny Australia? Enjoy the Nature Conservancy Reef at Port Phillip Bay and feel aflutter in the Butterfly House at the Melbourne Zoo.

When you are ready for the real thing, our Study Abroad and Global Engagement office is ready to help support your wandering dreams. Choose from hundreds of programs in more than sixty countries. Information sessions are available every Tuesday and Friday from 2:00-3:00 pm in Zoom. And until then, chart out more virtual adventures. Next February, I'm going to take the cheapest trip ever to Brazil for Rio Carnival.Where are you headed?
