Students' Seminar 18 th July 2019 at London The presenters of the best two talks on Polymer Composite Materials and Processing will be sponsored by SAMPE Europe, to represent SAMPE UK at the 2019 SAMPE Student seminar and attend the SAMPE Europe International Conference in Nantes. All participants in the UK seminar will get free student membership of SAMPE for one year. An objective of SAMPE is to promote interest in new composite materials and composites research within the student community. For the past seventeen years, SAMPE UK & Ireland Chapter has organised a highly enjoyable Student Project Presentation Seminar. Students are invited to join the very friendly event to give a 20 minute presentation, with 5 minutes for questions, on their research project on polymer composite materials and processing. A small University / Industrial panel will decide on the awards.

The presenters of the best two talks on Polymer Composite Materials and Processing

will be sponsored by SAMPE Europe, to represent SAMPE UK at the 2019 SAMPE Student seminar and attend

the SAMPE Europe International Conference in Nantes.

All participants in the UK seminar will get free student membership of SAMPE for one year.

An objective of SAMPE is to promote interest in new composite materials and composites research within the student community.For the past seventeen years, SAMPE UK & Ireland Chapter has organised a highly enjoyable Student Project Presentation Seminar.

Students are invited to join the very friendly event to give a 20 minute presentation, with 5 minutes for questions, on their research project on polymer composite materials and processing.

A small University / Industrial panel will decide on the awards.

Students will be selected for a prize of entrance into the prestigious SAMPE Europe Student Conference on the 17th September 2019 in Nantes and to represent SAMPE UK.

A fantastic opportunity to network with other European researchers, in the true SAMPE spirit. They will then attend the SAMPE Europe International Conference (also in Nantes 18th – 19th September 2019.) The selected students will have their accommodation and conference fees paid and, if necessary, the cost of travel is also provided.

The presenter of the best student paper in Nantes will receive a prize to attend the annual SAMPE Conference in May 2020 in Seattle, USA with the cost of flights, accommodation and conference fees paid by the Society. In previous years, students have enjoyed taking part and have gained much useful experience. The UK and Ireland Chapter has provided four European winners.

University Departments are encouraged to invite their Masters and Doctoral research students to participate in the Seminar. Initial selection will be based on abstracts submitted. Usually, students nearing the end or past the mid-point of their studies are favoured.
