97 years for the Love of Music By: Dorian Hines GREENSBORO, NC - On November 27th, 1919, on the campus of Oklahoma A&M College (now known as Oklahoma State University) in Stillwater, Oklahoma, our founding fathers along with our guiding spirit, Bohumil Makovsky, created an organization better known as Kappa Kappa Psi based off the principles of musicianship, leadership, and service to all band programs & the community. With a series of programs that the Iota Zeta Chapter of Kappa Kappa Psi, National Honorary Band Fraternity Incorporated hosted, brought out many familiar faces from the North Carolina A&T State University's campus to the Blue and Gold Marching Machine's Band Center. "We had a magnificent turn out for the program and many people enjoyed it. Also with it being my first Founders Day with the chapter and organization, I was really excited. It played a big role in making our presence known on the campus since we're at practice when most of the Greeks are walking around on campus. So a lot of people really know who we are now," says Spring 2016 Initiate Quenci Bradley.

97 years for the Love of Music

GREENSBORO, NC - On November 27th, 1919, on the campus of Oklahoma A&M College (now known as Oklahoma State University) in Stillwater, Oklahoma, our founding fathers along with our guiding spirit, Bohumil Makovsky, created an organization better known as Kappa Kappa Psi based off the principles of musicianship, leadership, and service to all band programs & the community.

Current Chapter President and Spring 2014 Initiate Aaron Ammons was really pleased with the ideas that were brought up about the program.

Spring 2016 Initiate Kenji Freitas says, "When they (Spring 2016 Initiate Paul F. Carter IV and Raheem Outlaw) were explaining how the program was going to go, it sounded a little confusing and crazy. But overall, we all understood the big picture when we were finalizing the things that were going to take place."

Overall, the program was a huge success and everyone that came out enjoyed themselves. The Iota Zeta Chapter of Kappa Kappa Psi, National Honorary Band Fraternity Incorporated would like to thank everyone that came out and supported.
