Then we will discuss that on Sunday it will be a special day to remember all our wonderful mothers- Mother’s day.

Word of the Week-Self Talk

Monday- you will teach your child about self talk. “Self-talk” means saying things quietly to yourself. Using self-talk helps your child stay focused and learn at school and at home.

Tuesday- you will show the poster of children Tony and Olivia to your child (at the end of the lesson plan). The teacher asked them to clean up. Who is listening to the teacher? What is Olivia doing to help her remember to clean up? She using self-talk. How? By singing the cleaning up song she is remembering and focuses on what she needs to do.

W- Today you will play a game to use self-talk. Say an action to your child, and then tell them to repeat it and then do it. Repeat this game numerous times. Remember your child needs to repeat the action before they do it.
