Come, saints and sinners! Come and rest from your labors in this holy time.We come as those who feebly struggle:We honor and celebrate those who now shine in glory.We come as a blest communion, a fellowship divine.We come, meeting God and each other in this sacred moment.

We come to you, Merciful Redeemer, our hands soiled with the pain we have caused, our ears stuffed with false words, our minds buzzing with doubts,our hearts stained with longings we are ashamed for others to know.

Forgive us and have mercy on us. As we seek to journey from these baptismal waters

towards the feast you prepare in glory, may we turn our faces towards you in every moment, listen to your words in the depths of our hearts, and follow Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, every step of the way.

Because we have been buried with Christ in these waters, we are raised to new life in him, with all the saints. Forgiven and freed, let us live lives worthy of our calling; Filled with the Holy Spirit, let us do God’s work in the world. Alleluia! Amen!
