Over the past two weeks, we were lucky enough to be given the opportunity to participate in sessions run by the Murrayfield Wanderers!

The sessions focused on developing skills in both contact and non-contact rugby and were thoroughly enjoyed by all involved.

The players from Murrayfield Wanderers are enthusiastic about continuing to develop the rugby skills within the upper school at Sighthill. They will be running morning club every Friday starting at 8.00am and are hoping this will lead to participation in games and tournaments out-with the school.

The children have been settling in well to Primary 6. We have invested a lot of time in establishing our expectations for the year and reflecting upon our growth mindset strategies. We are looking forward to having a positive P6 experience!

So far this term, we have been busy learning to describe, plot and record the location of different coordinates. We managed to create fun emoji pictures using our skills! We have also used our problem-solving skills to identify and classify different angles using the first letter of our name.

We have focused a lot on our tools for writing, particularly on extending and enriching our vocabulary. We have analysed different pieces of writing and discussed the ambitious words that we found. As well as this, we worked collaboratively to create a bank of our ambitious vocabulary for our wall display, so we can up-level our imaginative writing.
