a. The resources of one organization are geographically distributed

b. Different organizations which need sharing of their resources are separated.

Introduction

VO is the dynamic ensembles of resources and it spans from small corporate in the same physical location to large groups of organizations spreading out across the globe.

Dynamically package Web-plus-Grid services into one servicing group and use this kind of servicing group to meet the requirements of resources and business process so that to serve for Virtual Organization

What is Web-plus-Grid services?

web services can be interpreted as software-components with certain self-descriptive and encapsulated functionalities which can be remotely invoked and can be loosely combined by utilizing standardized protocols.

Open Grid Service

Architecture

( OGSA)

Web-plus-Grid services is based on Open Grid Service Architecture ( OGSA) proposed by Global Grid Forum (GGF). A.It takes advantages of the standardized interfaces and communication protocols provided by Web services technology;

B.It based on the logical architecture and predefined capabilities provided by OGSA.

What is Web-plus-Grid services?

All resources including computation facilities, storages, networks, programs, databases can be treated as services and we can packages a set of services into one servicing group to provide capabilities across heterogeneous platforms.

Disadvantages of web servicesA. Lack of capabilities for effectively integrating large scale of

enterprise resources

B. Lack of abilities for deploying self-performance management to efficiently coordinate different workflows within a virtual organization

Benefits of OGSA and Web-plus-Grid servicesA. OGSA takes advantage of Grid Computing, and Grid

Computing is designed for handle large scale of resources.

B. Use Three Logical ties of OGSA to construct servicing group according to the demands of virtual organizations

C. Using seven predefined capabilities to guide the package of web plus grid services

Why choose OGSA and Web-plus- Grid services?

Seven capabilities provided by OGSA:

a)Infrastructure Services

b)Execution Management Services

c)Data services

d)Resource management services

e)Security Services

f)Self-management Services

g)Information Services

Virtual Organization System Virtual Organization System

A set of capabilities of OGSA can be selected to support virtual organization. And these capabilities are composed by a set of Web-plus-Grid services.

Resources Virtualization

Resources virtualization can reduce transactions for workflow reuse heterogeneous systems to

handle diversified resources in a unified way. The standard protocols and schemas achieve for interoperability.

discover resources with desired attributes and retrieve the properties for users’ needs. It supports for customization.

User Case 1

How to manage diversified services in the information infrastructure?

How to manage the service level agreements by outsourcing vendors?

1. OGSA Profile Common application service as right

components to build its own profile according to the quality of service agreement.

Subscribed to application service providers by outsourcing non-core business activities.

Main features are:1. EAIP – application platform connects to

database and web services in the middle wares

2. Portal - interaction between components and manage information service integration.

3. UDDI registry to locate the web services request by delegated users.

4. Web services interfaces can be accessed by SOAP and service delivery in the profiles through enterprise information portal is secured.

User Case 2

How to discover a specific service needed and meet the specific capabilities?

How to organize collections of service to deliver reliable and scalable service for a specific goal?

2. Grid Resource Reseller

Grid Resource Reseller are looking after different service providers and users. Services are including:

1. Deployment and configuration service for hosting and computing the resources over OGSA.

2. OGSA naming is a job queuing system to check for availability or load balancing purpose.

3. Serving as information service and data management.

4. Monitoring quality of service level and attaining the fault-tolerance

5. Fault detection and recovery services6. Logging, metering and auditing the performance of

components in the whole chain or other non-OGSA service, e.g. billing and provenance that are applied to the execution management service.

User Case 3

How to manage communications within or across virtual organizations?

How to establish identity authentication in Grid in order to guarantee security?

3. Virtual Organization Grid Portal Services

By configuring the collected resources to the members of VO with high autonomy. secure communication between clients and web/grid services. resource-specific identities are authenticated by private and public key

cryptography and operated under the security protocol of X.509 certificate. build under user delegation mechanisms in the grip map for accessible

control and proxy delegation is managed in each service, for instance, data exchange, file staging and job management.

Cases Review

Integrating Web Services in following review [1]: OGSA profiles are used for reconstructing new web services by

the assembly of existing service components to users.

Grid Resource Reseller that is a supply chain between the Grid resource owners and end users to optimize resources and concentrate on the core competences by owners and users. By OGSA and web services, the no. of application service providers and Grid resource owners are scaling up in the widen internet based clients.

Virtual Organization (VO) Grid Portal provides its members to various computational, instrument-based data and other types of resources. The change of economics is customer-performance measure and execution management service by configuring the collected resources to the members of VO with high autonomy.

Conclusion

The capabilities of resources, services and people in different scaling enterprises can be synergized to drive economic growth virtually.

The small enterprises are not threatened by the high cost of system implementation in electronic business environment when the availability of web and grid services is so flexible and dynamic fitting for new customization.
