NOTICE INVITING QUOTATIONS
1. Quotations are invited for the supply of “Kitchen Equipments for New Girls Hostel and New Boys
Hostel for cooking: Supply, Installation and Miscellaneous Civil Work with onsite warranty (3
years)” required for this institute as per list attached/given overleaf by September 05, 2011 till 03:00
PM. The quotations will be opened at MNIT at 04.00 P.M. on September 05, 2011. The covers
containing the quotations must be marked " Kitchen Equipments for New Hostels (Boys and Girls)
for cooking: Supply, Installation and Miscellaneous Civil Work with Onsite Warranty (3 years)
Due on September 05, 2011”
2. THE RATES QUOTED SHOULD BE F.O.R. MNIT JAIPUR inclusive of all charges e.g.
packing, forwarding local taxes, railway freight, transit insurance, for outside firms and free delivery
at Institute stores in the case of local firms. The rates may also be quoted separately "Ex-
Godown/F.O.R. dispatching station. In case of Ex-Godown rates, please mention your packing and
forwarding charges. Where there is no mention regarding delivery period in the quotations or wherethe items are offered ex-stock, the firms will be required to supply goods within one month’s time.
3. Quotations should preferably be given only for those articles which are available ex-stock. Other
items should be quoted separately giving the delivery period. Rates of imported goods be quoted
excluding custom duty as this institution is exempted from payment of custom duty. The rates of

be in order up to our entire satisfaction. The accessories included in the equipment should also be
clearly mentioned.
7. Losses or damage in transit will be in to the account of the supplier in case of rates F.O.R. MNIT
JAIPUR. The supplier may, if he so desires, get the goods insured and include such charges in the
tendered rate.
8. The payment for the ordered items would be made after the articles have been received and found in
order. Normally payment shall be made through a crossed cheque within 30 days of the receipt of
goods after supply, installation and testing.
9. Your rates should be valid at least for three months from the last date of receipt of quotations.
10. All legal proceedings, if necessity arises to institute may be any of the parties (Institute or
Contractor/Supplier) shall have to be lodged in the courts situated at Jaipur and not elsewhere.
11. The undersigned is not bound to accept the lowest tender and may reject any tender or any part of the
tender giving justification for such an action.
12. The rates must be quoted item-wise by giving Serial No. of our enquiry letter.
13. The quotations should preferably be sent duly typed.
14. (a) The Penalty Clause is as under :-
Should the tenderer fail to deliver the goods within the period specified in the tender form the Institute
may, at its discretion, allow an extension in time subject to recovery from the tenderer as agreed
liquidated damages, and not by way of penalty, a sum equal to the percentage of the value of stores
which the tenderer has failed to supply for period of delay as stated below :-
(i) Delay up to one month 1%
(ii) Delay exceeding one month but not
exceeding two months
2%
(iii) Delay exceeding two months but not
exceeding three months
5%
(iv) Delay exceeding three months 5% for each month and part there of

16. Arbitration Clause: If the dispute cannot be settled by mutual discussions within the thirty
(30) day period, either party may refer the matter to a panel of three arbitrators. Each party
shall choose one arbitrator, both of whom shall elect the third arbitrator who shall be thepresiding arbitrator. The arbitration proceedings shall be held under the provisions of the
Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996 or any of its subsequent amendments.
18. Sealed quotations (Sealed Envelope must be super scripted “Kitchen Equipments for New
Hostels for Cooking: Supply, Installation and Miscellaneous Civil Work” with requisite
documents and EMD must be sent to:

Sealed quotations must reach at the above address on or before 3:00pm, September 05, 2011.
The quotations shall be opened on the same day in front of the committee and the vendors at
04:00pm, September 05, 2011.
20. All the qualified and competent software service provider are invited to quote for the followingdesired for MNIT Kitchen Equipments for New Hostels for cooking: Supply, Installation and
Miscellaneous Civil Work. Earnest Money Deposit: Rs.80000/= payable to “Registrar, MNIT”
payable at Jaipur. Due Date of submission of Tender: September 05, 2011 at 03:00pm and the
tenders shall be opened on the same day at 4:00pm.
21. The successful vendor will have to deposit a sum of 10% of the order value towards PBG for the
duration of warranty.
22. Minimum Eligibility Conditions for qualifying the tender:
a. The vendor must have executed atleast one order of total value of Rs.20.00 lacs withinlast three years for similar requirement. Attach the copy of PO with complete address for
verification, if required.
b. The vendor must have total turn over of minimum Rs.40.00 lacs for last three years.
Attach the proof of the same in the form of Balance sheet/IT returns.
