Weatherford Damaged Control Line – Application and Solution
• The WDCL system allows retrofitting of SSV control line in wells where: -
– Existing control line has become blocked, parted or burst.
– No SSV was originally installed but now mandated.
– Replacement for unreliable storm valves.
• The system consists of the following (bottom up): -
– WDCL Subsurface Safety Valve c/w wet connect
– Stinger and Short Capillary string
– Control line hanger.
• The WDCL SSV is: -– Controlled using the new control line.
– Does not affect ESD procedures.

Can be fitted in damaged or nippleless wells with a packer.
Resume production faster than scheduling a workover. Rigless method to return SSV functionality.
