AN AMERICAN IN PARIS (Student Matinees April 15 & 22, 2021) recommended 3rd-12th grades Set in the French capital in the wake of World War II, this is the romantic story of an American soldier, a French girl, and an indomitable city – each yearning for a new beginning. Inspired by the Academy-Award winning 1951 film, the new stage musical features a ravishing score by the Gershwins and a new book by Tony nominee and Pulitzer Prize finalist Craig Lucas. DAMN YANKEES (Student Matinees Jul 15 & 22, 2021) recommended 8th-12th grades Middle-aged baseball fan Joe Boyd, trades his soul for a chance to lead his favorite team to victory. As young baseball sensation, Joe Hardy, he transforms the hapless Washington Senators into a winning team, only to realize the true worth of the life that he’s left behind. Irreverent and devilishly clever, Damn Yankees is a home-run hit. For your next Field Trip!
