Today’s dismounted soldier typically carries more than 35 kilograms of gear. Faced with an increasingly digital battlefield, troops who are already weighed down with body armor, weaponry and ammunition must now also carry communications systems and other electronics. These heavy loads reduce soldiers’ agility, mobility and effectiveness – ultimately creating a risk to their lives.

Reducing the weight of equipment without compromising safety and performance in combat is a key concern for the soldier modernization industry. A Centralized, Integrated Connectivity SystemThe concept is simple. We integrate a distributed data and power BUS into the tactical vest, eliminating the external wires or break-out cables that weigh soldiers down and limit their movement.

Meanwhile, receptacles sewn in strategic locations turn the soldier’s vest into a !exible hub delivering power and data. Communications gear, sensors, night vision systems, smartphones, tactical computers, GPS devices and other essentials can be a"ached with matching plugs built directly into the device without using cables.
