What is the SDGs?The 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development (the 2030 Agenda) is a set of international development goals from 2016 to2030, which was adopted by the UN Sustainable Development Summit held in September 2015 building on the success ofMillennium Development Goals (MDGs).The 2030 Agenda listed “Sustainable Development Goals” consisting of 17 goals and 169 targets in order to eradicate povertyand realize a sustainable world. The SDGs are universal goals applicable, not only to developing countries but also developedcountries, and pledge “Leave no one behind.” through the implementation process.Japan makes utmost efforts to implement the 2030 Agenda with international community based on the concept of humansecurity.

Promoting reusable products in regular visit business

Reducing consumptions of plastic bottles by recommending the usage of canteenduring the use of water purification server

To protect the ecosystem and achieve sustainable society, we need to reduce wastage anduse resources effectively. Through our regular visits, by collecting and reusing usedresources and products, we will work on solving the social problem.

We will continue on repeating the procedures of collecting, cleaning, and reusing matsand mops used in facilities services. By repeating each step, we will both maintain cleanwork places and reduce consumption of wastage.

Moreover, we will adopt reusable water bottles on water server and contribute onreducing wastage. The used water bottle will be thoroughly washed and purified water willbe filled. After this procedure, it will be redelivered to our customers.

We will continue on expanding the business arising from our current business model andcontribute on creating zero-waste society.

Creating environmentally and producer friendly products

Raw beans from farm certified with rain forest alliance are used in some of our coffeeproducts

To decrease CO2 emission, Natural Gas is used for roasting coffee

Using part of drainage arising from pure water factories as recycled water

To lessen negative effects from climate change, we are using natural gas to produce self-roasting coffee, which emits less CO2 compared to fossil fuels. Our future goal is to improve efficiencies on roasting, decrease amounts of fuels used, and reduce negative effects on environment which arise during the process of production. To create long term and sustainable societies for both ecosystem and producers, raw beans certified with rain forest alliance(※) are used in some of our coffee products.※What is Rainforest Certification?The Rainforest Alliance is an international non-profit organization established in 1987 with the aim of maintaining tropical rainforests to preserve the global environment. This organization aims to protect rainforests, wildlife, water resources, and to improve the working environment of employees working in those regions. This certification proves that these products or raw material are produced using methods which promote the three pillars of sustainability (social, economy, and environment).

Promoting varieties of workstyles

Proactively creating paperless procedures to improve flexible workstyles and decreasenegative effects on the environment.

The traditional workstyle with fixed times and places has hindered companies from hiringvarieties of people with different genders and ages groups. On the other hand, Daiohs isunconstrained from fixed working hours. We have expanded system which enabledemployees to work actively based on their own lifestyles.In addition, Daiohs is now working on digitalizing all procedures from documents andreports by introducing tablet devices. Our goal is to eliminate all paper documents,promote forest conservation, and create flexible workstyles for employees.
