MESC is the first and solid partner with Japan Industry Training Association (JITA) in China to introduce TWI project. Since the end of the year �007, almost 7000 manufacturing professionals have attended our public seminars, summits and in-house trainings.

MESC has successfully delivered Lean, TPM, 5S, and VSM public courses for more than 70 times, and attendees have reached ��00 people, and we also pioneered public training in real plant. We have held lean model plant training in Delphi Shanghai and other plants, which received encouraging feedbacks.

Till now, as the company that has first introduced “Lean Learning Trip to TOYOTA Japan”, MESC has successfully held 35 trips and more than 500 manufacturing professionals have joined the featured event.

Lei FengChief Consultant of MESC JITA Certified Senior TWI Trainer

Mr. Feng Lei is the Chief Consultant of MESC. He has 21 years experience in industrial management. He served as the Factory Director, Technical Director, Project Director, Industrial Director and General Manager. Feng Lei is very experienced to work with different cultures. From 2001 to 2004, as General Manager of Unilever Hefei Plant, Mr. Feng successfully proposed and implemented for moving all factory to Hefei. Introduced and implemented TPM in the plant with close co-operation with JIPM. During these 3 years, Unilever made great achievements such as, output from planned 50,000 tons P.A. to actual 120,000 tons P.A.; operation costs reduced 50% and other admirable progresses.

Yi XuSenior Consultant of MESC JIPM Certified Trainer & JITA Certified Senior TWI Trainer

Mr. Yi Xu is currently the Senior Consultant of MESC. Mr. Xu has more than 15 years experience in industrial management. He had been working in Unilever & other companies for nearly 20 years as key roles in different sections such as, Process Management, Production Management & Project Management. 8 years ago, as a fulltime TPM leader, Mr. Xu was trained systematically by Japan Institute of Plant Maintenance(JIPM), the founder of TPM, and authorized by JIPM as a certified TPM instructor. After that, together with JIPM experts, he was responsible for TPM implementation in factories of Unilever China and accumulated rich experience in delivering TPM courses and facilitating TPM projects in corporations with different cultures in China.

Lily Qiu Senior Consultant of MESC JITA Certified Senior Trainer

Ms. Lily Qiu is currently Senior Consultant of MESC. She has over 25 years experience in industrial management and more than 10-year experience in training and consulting industry. She has been a front-line technician, production engineer, production supervisor, production manager and senior operation manager. Ms. Qiu has been working at manufacturing management consulting and training program for many years, and Ms. Qiu is well recognized by manufacturing professionals for her rich experience on manufacturing system and management. She has served for a famous company in Nanjing, and provided 33 application plans and has saved more than 1,200,000 RMB for the company.

John ZhuangSenior Consultant of MESC

Mr. Zhuang is currently the senior consultant of MESC. He has 21 years experience in production management and 11 years experience in lean manufacturing. He has worked as Production Manager, Manufacturing Manager, Lean Manager and Lean Director to manage the production and promote lean manufacturing in several global companies such as Actuant, Newell and Delphi, etc. Besides that, he was also trained by lean experts from Japan, America and China. He accumulated rich experience from his long-term practice. He successively established several benchmarking units and factories to help to develop lean suppliers. He was also invited to give guidance on Lean, Kaizen project and give report on lean supplier’s development.

Wenchao YAN MESC Consultant JITA Certified TWI Trainer

Mr. Yan is currently full-time consultant of MESC. Before he joined MESC, Mr. Yan has worked in Yuzhong Textile Co., Ltd in Xuchang for 8 years as the Equipment Supervisor, Production Manager and R&D Manager. Mr. Yan was in charge of the implementation of 5S & CI project at the end of 2007 as a coordinator in a wholly foreign-owned enterprise, and led the pilot line pass the audit successfully. With over 11-year on-site management experiences and systematic training of 5S&TPM, SMED and OEE, Mr. Yan Wenchao is an expert in overall plant management, such as manufacturing planning, manufacturing distribution and on-site 5S/TPM management. Besides, Mr. Yan also has strong quality sense and quality control capabilities, and has practical experiences of projects promotion.

Moses PanSenior Consultant of MESC

Moses Pan has nearly 20 years of working experience in multinational manufacturing companies holding a management position. During the years of service in manufacturing industries, he worked successively for Philips, Delphi as planning supervisor, logistics supervisor, production manager, operation manager and plant manager, lean coordinator. As the lean leader for Delphi, He obtained rich practical experience in Lean and Six Sigma. Significant improvements have been brought to the served companies including the Resources Optimization, Processes Stabilization, Supply Chain Management as well as improved profit margin. He succeeded to promote supply chain in Delphi. The factory he led for the lean practice was honored as the global benchmark plant of Delphi.

YW TanSenior Consultant of MESC

YW Tan has more than 14-year working experiences in multinational manufacturing companies in which almost 10 years in management position. Along the years of servicing in manufacturing industries, he worked for Seagate Corporation, IBM Technologies, Celestica Electronics, and Flextronics Computing. Significant improvements have been brought to the served companies with all the relevant measurable metrics including the resources optimization and processes stabilization as well as improved profit margin. He is very experienced in initial Lean Sigma start-up and conducted countless of all levels training in Lean Sigma, including but not limited to Champions or Management Belts, Black Belts and Green Belts. He also has very experienced countless of projects mentoring and Kaizen facilitation to Black Belts, Green Belts and Kaizen

Masafumi SuzukiSenior Consultant of MESC

Mr. Suzuki has 37 years working experience in automotive industry of manufacturing and engineering area. His working experience is very unique. He worked from the operator level to the managing director level, and he worked globally in Japan, Asia, North America and Europe area. He used to work for TRW Automotive Japan and Delphi Automotive. Especially, during his tenure in TRW and Delphi, he has learned TPS and TOYOTA Management System from TOYOTA Senseis by OJT which is Genba Kaizen and lean formation.

Hayasida Hiromitu Senior Lean Consultant

Mr. Hayasida has the rich instruction experience and promotion of TPS, he has been Involved in a number of consulting projects in China and Japan.

TakagiSenior Consultant of MESC

Mr. Takagi has the rich instruction experience and promotion of TPS, he has been Involved in a number of consulting projects in China and Japan.

Dr. XieJITA Certified TWI &MTP Trainer

Dr. Xie is Japan Industrial Technology Association (JITA) Certified TWI and MTP trainer. He was born in 1953. Dr. Xie has been a teacher in Literature School of Shanghai University. He went to Japan for further study, got Sociology Ph D from Kwansei University in 1993. Later he joined Japan Management Association and Jemco Consultancy Company.

Sophia FuJITA Certified Trainer TWI Product Manager

Sophia Fu graduated from Northeastern University majoring in English. After graduation, she joined ASUS Computer (Suzhou) Co., Ltd, working as quality and production engineer. During the work in ASUS, she has accepted production management trainings such as TPS, TPM, 5S, and 6 Sigma. She joined MESC since 2005 as sales supervisor, account manager, branch manager of Tianjin MESC, and TWI product manager. In 2006, she has learnt from the Chief Consultant Mr. Feng Lei as an assistant consultant. During that time, she has followed with Mr. Feng Lei to visit more than tens of plants and assist to draft project proposals for clients. In 2007, she achieved systematically Train the Trainer (TTT) training on Training within Industry (TWI) by Japan Industrial Training Association (JITA), and she is also the one of the earliest certified TWI trainers coaching Job Instruction (JI), Job Relations (JR), and Job Method (JM).

Summer FengJITA Certified TWI Trainer

Ms. Feng is currently the TWI trainer of MESC. She was certified to be the TWI trainer by JITA after joining in MESC in 2008. She had served more than 60 world-famous enterprises, such as: COFCO (Group) Co., Ltd, Molex Interconnect(Chengdu(Co.,Ltd, Loreal China, Nantong Acetate Fiber Co. Ltd , Yanfeng Visteon Automotive Trim Systems Co., Ltd. Etc. In addition, she delivered more than 40 public training courses, and involved in the planning and operation of 16 large-scale TWI Summit as TWI project supervisor.

Mike MaMESC Consultant JITA Certified TWI Trainer

Mr. Ma graduated from Shanghai University of Engineering Science in Business Administration. He has served for Kohler, Saint Gobain, Newell, Dresser and other famous Fortune 500 companies. He worked in production and lean management for many years as different roles such as department supervisor, manager and project manager. Mr. Ma has more than 10-year experience in lean manufacturing management, production management and operation. He has been working for quick trouble-shooting and solving shop-floor problems as well as focusing on cultivating employees for long-term thinking of lean concept.

Maxwell HanMESC Consultant JITA Certified TWI Trainer

Mr. Han is currently the Lean consultant of MESC. He has been developing production management in the manufacturing sector for about 20 years. He has served many multinational companies such as Shanghai ZiJiang, US-funded enterprises, Sino-Russian joint venture, etc. Mr. Han is well recognized by all of our customers for wealth of practical experience and professionalism. Mr. Han has very rich experiences on 5S management module in the field, unit design modules and human-machine balance. He has strong practical ability and creative design to improvement tools to enhance production efficiency. He was certified to be the TWI trainer in 2009 by Japan Industry Training Association.

TWITraining Within IndustryTraining within Industry (TWI) is the most outstanding front-line supervisor skills training program in the world and the best on-site management course which has been well proven by cultivating many front-line supervisors for Toyota and many other big companies.TWI public training courses and in house training programs will be conducted within two days' time with an aim to teach front line supervisors several must-have skills. While the ultimate goal of 'Train the Trainer' training courses (TTT training) is to cultivate outstanding trainers, who will be able to use TWI theory to train outstanding front line supervisors in the near future. Since first introduction of TTT training program by MESC at the end of 2007, it brought out the first group of TWI trainers in China. MESC has made great effort to promote TWI Project in China.

2 TWI Annual Award Summits, nearly 300 people learned about the best TWI practices in China16 TWI summits have spread TWI concept to over 2000 manufacturing professionals;Over 60 public courses have more than 1000 participants understood JI, JR and JM and learnt the skills of how to instruct, lead and improve;

In America-- Between 2002 and 2004, using TWI, a high-end foundry was able to reduce initial wax mold assembly defects by 96%, which increased on-time delivery to customers 80%. In China-- A manager from a Guangdong company attended training of TWI JI and JR TTT, and he has brought it into effect for half a year and has achieved amazing results. Cycle time of training a new employee for a certain job has shorted to 2 days from the original 4 days and the product defect rate has been reduced by 62.8%, saving training costs by RMB 323,000 Yuan.

Lean, Six Sigma or Lean Sigma?

Overview

Lean or the Toyota Production System was invented as a series of improvement activities in the Toyota Company in the 1950s, at a time when it almost faced bankruptcy. Toyota emerged as the biggest car seller worldwide in 2008, with a profit higher than the total sum profits of the 3 giant US car manufacturers. The book “The Machine that Changed the World” written by James P. Womack, Daniel T. Jones and Daniel Roos in 1990 revealed the Toyota’s secret to a worldwide audience. Subsequently, most of the world’s manufacturing or IE experts have studied in detail the factors responsible for Toyota success. Today most experts classify Lean as “Speed” advantages, which the application of Value Stream Mapping is used to build up the “Lean House” with its 2 major pillars, Just In Time and Jidoka (Autonomation).

Lean

Lean Sigma, as synergiztion of 2 systems with aspects favorable to improving speed and also rigorous, has advantages over and above the pure systems themselves, with track records of countless business success in giant companies. The combination not only brings to luxury tools set but also enhanced the Kaizen mechanism, which will fit nicely to individual company’s existing culture. Nevertheless the classes being designed for multiple purposes that across the entire organization society with one objective, business excellence and success.

Lean Sigma

Six Sigma originated from Motorola in the 80s when the CEO set out to increase the quality by 10x within 5 years time. The quality group to fulfill the company’s goals established an improvement system that brought the company a brilliant decade and won it the “Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award” in 1988. Honeywell in 1993 and 2 years later General Electric succeeded in absorbing Six Sigma into their quality system. Since then the world has started to realize the benefits of the Six Sigma management system to business success. 3.4 dppm of defects rate is a common goal for all Six Sigma companies that brings tremendous cost saving. Six Sigma is also focused on organization infrastructure, with those keyp players being given titles like Champion, Black Belt, Green Belt and Master Black Belt. One of the key features of Six Sigma at the very initial stage is cost saving calculation against the P&L account book, which has become he fashion for the world practitioners. Basically Six Sigma has a strong infrastructure organization which relentlessly eliminates the cost of poor quality (or variation) by DMAIC methodologies (DMAIC – Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve and Control Phases) in order to achieve the business goals. Six Sigma is also classified by experts as a “rigorous” process due to the variation reduction strategy.
