We Can’t Imagine Life Without a Small Group!Forty-seven years of marriage … seven cities, a wide variety of churches and denominations … and I can’t think of a time when John and I were NOT in a Small Group together.
If there wasn’t a group, we’d start one. In one small town we started a group with only three other people, but knew that “wherever two or more are gathered in His Name, He’d be among us” and He always was … and is. That little group, from a variety of churches, and in a short period of time, grew to over twenty! The only problem was having to start making two desserts instead of one, since fellowship is always better with treats!
We’ve always met in homes … something about the warmth of a home helps draw people closer to each other. We’ve often been in leadership roles, but not always.
Being able to grow in faith with others has been an integral part of our Christian walk. Hearing the stories of others, sharing our stories with others, asking hard questions, recognizing that we all have struggles, praying for others and having them pray for us, are just some of the benefits.
It takes time to develop that spiritual closeness and trust. It’s worth the time. It’s worth the effort. In a Small Group you may take home a seed, a thought, a challenge for you. You may provide those same things for others. The bond of Jesus is so very powerful.

Some of this trip’s highlights include visiting scholarship students, distributing quilts to homebound members, teaching Sunday school, and seeing the progress of the new tablet program, medical dispensary and chicken projects. Small Group Lenten StudyFinal Words by Adam HamiltonSix weeks beginning Sunday, February 18Enrich your Lenten journey by gathering with others to explore the meaning of Jesus’ dying words for our lives today. Sunday sermons will align with the six chapters in the book.
3 Easy Steps:1. Invite others and gather weekly (you only need 2–3 people to
form a group!) Meet in your home, at a coffee shop or call to reserve space at the church.
2. Pick up a book ($10) and one DVD per group, including an easy-to-follow Leader Guide with discussion questions.

Holy Week Spiritual Retreat 24-hour Retreat • March 25–26Get away from the busyness of life and spend personal time with God. Pastor Greg will lead this retreat. You’ll enjoy the natural, peaceful beauty of the St. Benedict Center located just north of Schuyler, NE, and return refreshed and renewed.
