This monthly event promotes community health & wellness by bringing affordable local produce to a farmer’s market format and making it accessible to all our friends at Civic Park Community Center.

Storytelling ProgramMarch 6, 2020 || 1 p.m. – 2:30 p.m. || FREETo register for this program, please call (925)943-5846 or register onlineMultipurpose Room, Civic Park Community Center Everyone at any age can be a storyteller. Storytelling is designed to inspire and empower us as we learn from master storytellers and discover new ways to share our personal stories. Working together, we will learn to shape our stories, choose details, and strengthen our timing and delivery. Come to our first meeting on March 6th to hear more about the 8 week long program! 2020 Membership RenewalAll SENIOR CLUB MEMBERS (including lifetime membership) need to submit a 2020 membership form to continue their membership into next year! You can find the membership form online or at the front desk of the Civic Park Community Center. The cost of membership is $15 for the full year.

Come and learn new techniques for card making

in this fun and easy workshop. Your fee covers all materials. You will create at least eight cards to share with family and friends. Pre-registration required and the fee covers all materials. Please bring scissors and glue. Next card making class scheduled for March 30.

Pancake Breakfast, March 1: No pancake breakfast in February. AARP FREE TAX-AIDE PROGRAMFREE TAX PREPARATION for the 2020 tax season will again be offered by AARP Tax-Aide. The service, provided by volunteer IRS certified tax counselors, is available by appointment every Thursday from February 6, 2020 through April 2, 2020. We will not offer tax-aide on April 9 and 16, 2020. Tax-Aide does not have an income limit, but helps low and moderate-income taxpayers of any age, with special attention given to seniors 50 plus.

To complete your 2019 tax return, bring the following to your appointment:• Social Security Card or ITIN letter for all individuals to be listed on the return• Photo identification for the taxpayer and spouse• Copies of all 2019: W-2s, 1098s and 1099s• Other income and deductions• Your 2018 Tax Return• Covered California: All documents including form 1095
