This falls under the Identification Phase. Potential church plants are usually recommended by various sources: a WBA Partner church, WBA
Leadership, WBA Director or staff, walk-ins (either through personal contact or phone/e-mail), Church Planting organization or conference or
recommendations from individuals.
WBA stands for Williamson Baptist Association, where our mission is to assist churches to fulfill their mission. We do this through three core areas: Leadership Development, Church Solutions and Church
Planting. And, although our name says Baptist in the title, we are eager to do the Lord’s work across denominational lines. We encourage all Christian denominations to participate in our opportunities for growth,
development and ministry.

We support the churches in their ministry to the community and the world by providing the church with the kind of support that increases
its effectiveness. WBA strives to address strategic challenges related to fulfilling the commission Jesus Christ gave His church.
WBA exists for the local church.
“I really believe that the WBA is part of the reason we made it through and we’re still here.”

“The group of people who work here, who support me, will sit down and give me the time and let me make mistakes. You know it’s more
than a business. It’s a Kingdom focus.”

WBA executes a five-phase process to help church plants get off on the right foot. We want your
experience to be a positive, fruitful one, which is why we take time to walk you through each important step.
How Does the Church Planting Process Work?
There is no set time frame for a church to become a fully functioning church. The average time it takes most churches to complete all five phases is three years,
however, we have seen some churches complete the process in as little as one year.
