Get StartedYou are ready to use your comprehensive route planning tool, Wayfinder Mobile

MapGuide by completing the following three steps:

1. Download and install the Wayfinder Mobile MapGuide software2. Enter the activation code in your mobile phone

3. Access MyWayfinder.com - your personal travel planning tool

You find detailed information about the steps in Appendix 1

MyWayfinder.comAdditionally to the map and route guidance application in your mobile

phone, Wayfinder Mobile MapGuide includes a personal navigation homepage,

MyWayfinder.com.

MyWayfinder.com is your personal travel planning toolwhere you are able to:

Plan your trips in advance

Manage your Favorites, i.e. store new destinations and edit existingFavorites and access them both on the homepage and in your mobile phone

View routes on a map

Communicate routes and destinations via email to friends, family and

colleagues

Download new versions of the Software as well as corresponding manuals

In order to access your Favorite destination on MyWayfinder.com as well as in yourmobile phone and vice versa you synchronize the Favorites. Go to the Favoriteviewin the Wayfinder Mobile MapGuide application and select;Options > Synchronize

Product information

Wayfinder Mobile NavigatorGet real time navigation with Wayfinder Mobile Navigator! You can choose between

two Wayfinder Mobile Navigator packages: One package includes a bluetooth GPS

receiver from Emtac. The other package does not include a GPS receiver but the

software and service can be used with any compatible GPS receiver on the market.

You can buy the Wayfinder Mobile Navigator from one of our Dealers and Shops or

directly from Wayfinder shop (www.wayfinder.com/shop). You are able to upgrade

to Wayfinder Mobile Navigator without installing any software! You simply

enter the new activation code that you receive (see Appendix 1 - Step 2 for more

information).

You are able use the application with or without GPS and navigate with automatic

voice instructions and map guidance with your current position displayed in the

map. You do not have to enter the starting point of the route and you can save your

current location as a Favorite.

You will get access to the MyWayfinder.com where you can plan your trips in advance

and synchronize Favorites with your phone.

Wayfinder Mobile MapGuideTM

Wayfinder Mobile MapGuide consists of several views with associated selection

menus. You navigate through the application and make selections in views and

menus:

Press the joystick to make selections

To select from the submenus in the Optionsmenu, move the joystick to the

right. To get back to the Optionsmenu, move it to the left

Move the joystick to the left or to the right in order to switch between the five

main views:

The available selections in the Options menu vary from different views. However,

there are a number of menu choices available in all views:

The right button has different functions in different views and menus. You are able

New Search - Set your origin and destinationIn the New Search view you enter your origin as well as your destination, in order to

calculate a route and get map and route guidance!

You are able to choose your origin/destination from the

following alternatives in pop-up menu when you highlight the

origin/destination by pressing the joystick:

From Search

From Favorites

From Category

The choices are available in the Optionsmenu as well.

When you have entered both your origin and destination you are able to calculate a

route by pressing the joystick or selecting Options > Calculate route

If you upgrade to Wayfinder Mobile Navigator you only have to set your destinationas the GPS receiver and Wayfinder Moible Navigator pinpoint your current position!

Search for Origin/DestinationEnter information about the origin/destination and start searching!

Address/Company Name of the company, street orcategory of the origin/destination

City/Zip code City or zip code where the origin/destination is located

Country The country where the origin/destinationis located. You get a list of countries by

choosing Options > Select country

The last origin/destination that you have searched for is conveniently stored even if

you exit the Search view.

Usually you only have to write the first letters of the destination in order to find it.However a too unspecific destination can result in an extensive list of search results.

Search for a Category

Are you searching for a restaurant, a petrol station, or another

Category?

Choose Options > Select Category in order to select a desired

category from a pop-up menu. The search will result in a list of

destinations from the selected category.

Write a category name e.g petrol in the address/company field and Wayfinder

Mobile NavigatorTM

finds nearest petrol station.

Search Results Choose Your Origin/DestinationThe result of your search for a new origin/ destination or a

category is presented in lists of maximal ten alternatives. Each

search result includes the name of the origin/destination and

the city where it is located.

1. If the city was not unique you have to select it first

2. Browse with the joystick in order to highlight the desired origin/destination

3. Choose your action from the Optionsmenu. You are able to:

Set as origin Set the search result as the origin of your route

Set as destination Set the search result as the destination of your

Favorites - Your Saved DestinationsFavorites consist of your saved destinations to addresses,

companies, Points of Interest, places etc.

Conveniently you can add and modify your Favorites onMyWayfinder.com as well as in your mobile phone and access

them both in your phone and on the homepage by synchroniza-

tion. SelectOptions > Synchronize.

Browse with the joystick in order to highlight the desired Favorite and in the

Optionsmenu you can choose between:

Set as origin Set the selected Favorite as the origin of the route

Set as destination Set the selected Favorite as the destination of the route

Show on a map View the Favorite on a map

Manage You get the following alternatives to manage your Favorites:

Edit Change name and description of the selected

Favorite

From search Make a New Search and save a destinationfrom the search result as a Favorite

Call Center Assistance while DrivingGet assistance from the Wayfinder Call Center to find your destination when you are

unable to use the keypad of your phone, e.g. while driving.

1. Choose the available Call Center from the list by press joystick orOptions > Call

2. The Call Center sends the required information to route to a destinationby SMS

3. When you receive the SMS Wayfinder Mobile Navigator needs to berunning

Wayfinder will automatically make available phone numbers to Call Centersaccessible in your mobile phone.

Itinerary Your Route Step-by-StepThe Itinerary View contains a list of all turns to the destination of the route . The

following selections are available in the Optionsmenu:

Appendix 1 Get StartedIn order to get started and use the Wayfinder Mobile MapGuide

TMthe first time you

need to activate the service by installing the software and entering the activation

code.

Step 1. Install the Wayfinder Mobile MapGuide SoftwareFollow the instructions to install the Wayfinder Mobile MapGuide Software on your

mobile phone. If you already have installed the software, please proceed to Step 2

- Enter the Activation Code.

Technical recommendations for installation

In order to install the software via PC you either need:

Bluetooth sender/ receiver on your PC or Mac

IR sender/ receiver on your PC or Mac

An email account with incoming POP-server configured on your

mobile phone

Please follow the step-by-step instructions:

1. Save the Wayfinder files Part 1 and Part 2 on your computer.

2. Transfer the files to your mobile phone via Infrared (p.19),Bluetooth (p. 20) or e-mail (p. 20).

3. After completing the installation on your phone proceed to Step 2 -Enter the Activation Code

Upgrade to Wayfinder Mobile NavigatorTM !

If you already installed Wayfinder Mobile MapGuideTM

you are able to upgrade to

Wayfinder Mobile NavigatorTM

without installing any new software. Purchase the

activation code for Wayfinder Mobile NavigatorTM

from one of our dealers and

shops that you find listed on www.wayfinder.com or directly from the Wayfinder

Shop (www.wayfinder.com/shop) and activate the service (see Step 2 - Enter

Activation Code)

Installation via Infrared

1. Open the Infrared program Wireless Link in the Control Panelof yourcomputer.

2. Start your mobile phone and go to Connections and open Infrared.Activate the infrared connection by pressing Options.

3. Place your mobile phone next to your PC to activate the infrared

connection. An icon will appear in the lower right status bar of your

computer when the infrared connection has been established. Click on the

icon and a new window will be open on your computer.

5. Select the Wayfinder file that you want to transfer and press Send. Repeat

this procedure with the second Wayfinder file as well.

6. Go to Messaging in your mobile phone. Open one message at a time andfollow the istructions in order to install them.

7. The installation of the software is now complete. In the Menu you find the

Wayfinder icon, click on it and the Wayfinder application will start. Please,

proceed to step 2 - Enter Activation Code!

Installation via Bluetooth

1. Open My Bluetooth Places on your computer

2. If you have not already paired/bonded your mobile phone with your

computer, follow the instructions below:

a. Select in your mobile phone: Menu > Connections > Bluetooth

and setBluetoothas On. Enter a name for your phone in

My Phones name

b. Go to Paired devices > New paired devicein your mobile phone.

Select the name of your Bluetooth device of your

computer from the list.

c. Enter a pass key in your mobile phone upon request. A window will

be opened on the PC asking for the same pass key as you enteredin your mobile phone.

3. Open Entire Bluetooth Neighbourhood on your computer and select theicon that has the same name as your mobile phone.

4. Select your mobile phone and choose Inbox

5. Move the two files, one by one, into Business Card

6. Accept the files that are transferred to your mobile phone.

6. Go to the Inbox in your mobile phone and open one message at a time andfollow the istructions in order to install them.

7. The installation of the software is now complete. In the Menu you find the

Wayfinder icon, click on it and the Wayfinder application will start. Please,


Installation via E-mail

1. Send two e-mail messages to your e-mail address that your have configured

in your mobile phone. Attach one Wayfinder file per message!

2. In your mobile phone you choose Messaging and open the Mailbox.

3. Press Options and select Retrieve e-mail to download the two messages.

3. Open the two messages and the attached files, on at a time, and follow the

instructions in order to install the files.

7. The installation of the software is now complete. In the Menu you find theWayfinder icon, click on it and the Wayfinder application will start. Please,

Step 2. Enter the Activation Code

1. Start Wayfinder Mobile MapGuide in your mobile phone and selectUpgrade in the Welcome view or Options > Activate in the Main menu

2. Read the instructions and press OK

3. Enter your mobile phone numberEnter your country code, e.g. 44and your mobile phone number omitting nought(0) in the beginning of the number. E.g.the correct format for mobile number0171-777 777 in the UK ( country code 44) is

+441717777777

4. Enter the activation code

The activation code constitutes of five fields with four letters and/or

numbers and looks like this XXXX-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX

5. SelectOptions > Upgrade

6. Accept User Terms

7. The application contacts the server in order to activate your subscription.(The Wayfinder logo rotates while the application communicates with the server)

8. Press OKwhen you receive a confirmation message

9. You are ready to find your way with Wayfinder Mobile MapGuide! To gainaccess to MyWayfinder.com as well, please proceed to step 3

The Activation Code is a valuable document please keep for future

upgrades of your Wayfinder product.

Step 3. Access MyWayfinder.comYou are able to receive a web username and a web password for MyWayfinder.com,

your personal navigation homepage, via the Wayfinder application in your mobile

phone. Follow the step-by-step instructions below:

1. Choose Options > Settingsin your Wayfinder Mobile MapGuide

application and click on Web password. When completing step 4, you will

receive your web username.

2. Enter a new password for MyWayfinder.com and press OK

3. Press Backin order to activate the new password

The Wayfinder logo rotates while your Wayfinder Mobile MapGuidecommunicates with the Wayfinder server

4. In order to receive your web username go back to Options > Settings > Web

usernameand you are able to see your web username. If your web user

name is stated UNKNOWN, please see below.

5. Go to www.MyWayfinder.com and you have access to your personal travel

planning tool!

UNKNOWN Web username

If your Web username is stated UNKNOWN you have not been able to connect to the

Wayfinder server. The problem might be caused because you have not got the correct

Internet access point settings. You need an Internet connection in order to connect

to the server. You access Internet via GPRS and hence you need a GPRS subscription

by your operator, a WAP GPRS connection that is intended only for WAP access does

not work.

Please contact your operator and ask them to send you a configuration SMS in order

to configure a Internet access point on your mobile phone.

If you have forgotten your password to MyWayfinder.com you are able to seta new!

Appendix 2 Internet Access PointIn order to calculate routes and get accurate maps and information you need to

connect to the Wayfinder server. Therefore you need an Internet connection and

hence an Access Point for Internet. You access Internet via GPRS and hence you

need a GPRS subscription by your operator. Please note that a WAP-subscription or aWAP-GPRS subscription is not sufficient.

Configure you Internet Access Point

To get the correct settings for Internet access you may need to configure your Inter-

net Access Point in your mobile phone.

1. Configure your Internet Access Point at MyWayfinder.com. Log in withyour username and password and choose Service > Configure Access

Point2. Follow the instructions in order to send a configuration SMS to your

mobile phone

3. Shortly, an SMS will be sent to your mobile phone

4. Open the SMS

5. Choose Options > Save in Settings

6. Switch off the mobile phone and then switch it back on again

7. Your Internet Access Point via GPRS is configured!

The GPRS-connection is delivered by your operator and any problems that occur, e.g.

no network access, is out of Wayfinders control.

Safety Information

The Customer is aware that there may be errors or defect in the Service as well as in the information supp-lied through or in conjunction with the Service. The Service is supplied as is. Furthermore, the Customerunderstands that those maps and other information from third parties on which the Service is based maybe incomplete, incorrect or defective and that Wayfinder Systems AB is not responsible for these errorsor deficiencies. However, in the case of defects that make it impossible to use the Service, WayfinderSystems AB will with reasonable efforts take corrective measures as soon as possible.

The information provided through the Service is to be seen as recommendations and should not be viewedby the Customer as instructions. If a recommendation supplied through the Service deviate from localtraffic regulations or other local conditions, the Customer must always abide by and take into conside-ration these local regulations and conditions. Use of the Service is at the Customers own risk and it isalways the Customers responsibility and duty to act in a manner that will not jeopardize the traffic safety

of the Customer or any other person.
