Positively Outrageous Service Over 43 years Southwest has won every award there is for great service, outstanding company culture and safety.

Despite operating in one of the world’s most regulated, lowest margin industries, it has set the standards for customer service and sustaining a great-place-to-work culture.

With revenues of $18 billion and 45,000 employees, this remarkable business continues to grow, innovate and be a case study for business schools worldwide.

The World’s Greatest Bank “Welcome to the World’s Greatest Bank. May I help you”? Walk into any Umpqua Bank store (not branch) or call the Portland HQ and that’s the proud greeting you’ll get.

Subject of several Harvard case studies and one of Fortune’s ‘Best Companies to Work for’, Umpqua has been referred to as a ‘cultural phenomenon’.

With $22bn in assets, Umpqua has figured out how to stay ahead of the transformations in technology, markets and culture that have shaken its competitors and has built a brand that stands for something special in an industry that is profoundly broken.

An unmissable visit and chance to meet visionary CEO Ray Davis.

Creating a culture of innovation

52,000 People Changing the World At the HQ of one the world’s most iconic companies you will see how the digital revolution is causing ‘the acceleration of everything’ and radically changing how we do business, consume and interact with the world.

Five time winner of Fortune’s ‘100 Best Companies to Work For’ competition, Google is principally an engineering-led company. We will hear from Alberto Savoia, Google’s Innovation Agitator and a true radical innovator.

A not-to-be-missed opportunity!

Connecting Talent & Opportunity at Massive Scale Co-founded 12 years ago by Reid Hoffman – one of Silicon Valley’s most successful VCs – LinkedIn now has 313m members in over 200 countries.

It has completely disrupted the recruitment industry, eclipsing other online executive search businesses and making head-hunters world-wide rethink their strategies. Anyone looking for their next job or employee is using LinkedIn.

We will learn from the leaders how they met the challenges of building something brand new so rapidly and created a great-place-to-work culture.

The World’s Leading Design Firm IDEO is the innovation engine behind some of the world’s biggest brands.

Since 1991, IDEO has regularly won at the ‘Industrial Design Excellence Awards’ and just ranked #10 in Fast Company’s ‘Most Innovative Companies’ list.

IDEO’s renowned multi-disciplinary culture and innovation process gave rise to the Apple mouse, the first laptop computer, the Palm V and hundreds of other benchmark designs.

Hosted by Tim Brown (CEO), this highly participative session will demonstrate the power and application of ‘design thinking’.

1. Wavelength USA 2015 events will take place in Dallas, Portland, Half Moon Bay, Palo Alto, Mountain View and San Francisco. Transfers between hotels and venues will be in private, luxury coach.

2. High-end accommodation will be provided, as follows:

6. British passport holders may be eligible to travel to the USA under the Visa Waiver Programme, details of which are to be found at http://london.usembassy.gov/niv/vwp.html. The failure to determine your eligibility for travel under the Visa Waiver Program may result in you being denied the opportunity to travel to the USA.

7. Delegates based outside the United Kingdom must contact the appropriate US consulate authority in their country of residence for full details of the relevant visa or travel authorisation requirements.

8. You should take the necessary steps to meet the visa or travel authorisation requirements which apply to you at the earliest time. Confirmation of eligibility under the Visa Waiver Programme can be obtained in some cases in under 72 hours. However, confirmation might take significantly longer than this, and it may be the case that you are not eligible to enter the United States under the Programme and therefore require a visa. Most visa applications require an interview at a US consulate authority. You should check with your local US consulate authority about the current visa application completion time. In most cases a fee will be payable. Medical treatment in the USA can be very expensive, and there are no special arrangements for British travellers. You should ensure that you have comprehensive medical insurance, which includes hospital treatment and medical evacuation to the UK. You should seek medical advice before travelling to the USA from your GP, practice nurse or travel health clinic, and ensure that all appropriate vaccinations are up-to-date. Additional health requirements may apply to travellers from outside the United Kingdom, and you should check with your local US consulate authority about what the relevant requirements are well in advance of travel.

9. The full fee for the tour must be paid to Wavelength Companies Ltd no later than Friday 27th March 2015 and failure to do this may result in the cancellation of the delegate’s place on the tour.

2.1. In Dallas at The Four Seasons: the hotel’s features and amenities include business centre services including high-speed wired & wireless internet access; golf course; fitness centre; and swimming pool.

2.2. In Portland at The Nines: the hotel’s features and amenities include business centre services including high-speed wired and wireless internet access, and fitness centre.

2.3. In Half Moon Bay at The Ritz-Carlton Hotel: the hotel’s features and amenities include in-room wireless, high-speed Internet access and computer and fax outlets; an executive business centre; a spa and beauty salon; fitness centre with complete Cybex gym and yoga studio; and swimming, tennis and golf facilities.

2.4. In San Francisco at the Hotel Vitale: the hotel’s features and amenities include in-room wireless, high-speed internet access and laptop safe; a fully equipped business centre open 24-hours; a fitness room and spa.

3.1 Arrival and departure car transfers and any hotel incidentals are not included in the tour price. Delegates are required to pay an additional deposit of £500 +VAT per person to cover these costs. The actual costs of your transfers and hotel incidentals may be more or less than the deposit you provide. If this is the case then after the end of the tour we will issue you with an invoice which either: requires you to pay the additional money needed for transfers and hotel incidentals; or returns any unused balance from the deposit for your transfers and hotel incidentals.

10. There is a minimum number of 15 delegates required for the tour to take place. If the tour is cancelled because of insufficient numbers delegates will be informed no later than 30 days before the scheduled tour start of June 14th 2015.

11. As delegates are responsible for their own outward and homeward transport no arrangements have been made by Wavelength in the event that those outward or homeward journeys are delayed.

12. All monies paid to Wavelength Companies Ltd in respect of Wavelength USA 2015 will be held in a trust account.

13. In exceptional circumstances Wavelength may need to alter the details given in this brochure. If any changes to these details are required then Wavelength will make these changes clear to delegates.

3. All meals (i.e. breakfast, lunch and dinner) are included commencing with breakfast on Sunday 14th June 2015 and ending with dinner on Friday 19th June 2015.

4. Passport and Visa requirements: all travellers to the USA must hold a valid passport. Travellers to the USA will also require a visa unless: • They are eligible to enter without a visa under the Visa Waiver Programme

(please note that you will still be required to obtain a travel authorisation through the Electronic System for Travel Authorization, which can be accessed via the US Embassy website); or

• They are exempt from the visa requirement.

5. For more information about these categories for British passport holders please see the US Embassy’s website: http://london.usembassy.gov/niv/index.html
