Purpose for the hui;

● State of play nationally

● What the government is trying to do (accelerated learning for

targeted students, big focus on Māori and Pacifica, a very narrow

lens of national stds, issues around these)

● The key thing is relationships with students/tamariki, holistic view

● We have a vested interest in their success

● Importance of positive relationship with Whānau with trust at the

heart. The importance of us working together.

● Praise is so important. Next Learning Steps , encouragement,

knowing what it is to be a good learner?

● Good things take time.

● Have self belief.
