WASHINGTON CROSSING THE DELAWARE

Made in 1991 during the first Iraq Campaign, the nine color etchings by Eckhard Froeschlin are now edited as an EDITION SCHWARZE SEITE portfolio. Each print being an autonomous image as itself, they form a huge 1,50 x 2,10 m paraphrase to Emanuel Leutze´s famous painting when organized as a 3:3 block.

Nine color etchings in black and covering white, each 34,5 x 49,5 cm, on Zerkall mould made pa-per 340 g, 45 x 63 cm. Inside envelope with title and credits, handset letterpress. Box handbound by Roger Green, printed paper over board with tagged etching and embossed parchment spine. 15 copies, 2014.
