Warspeak - the soundtrack by Marc C. Waszkiewicz & Lea Jones Neither a celebration nor a protest of war… a musical memoir of combat… Originally recorded (1992) in a trailer in Bremerton, Washington, on an 8-track TASCAM (with a YAMAHA drum machine), the album was expanded, remixed (from the digitized analog tracks), rerecorded with live drums, and remastered in 2017 Beau Eastlund (Golden Lab). MUSIC DIRECTOR: You’ll find a wide range of styles here, from balls out psychedelic rock down to bare-bones acoustic guitar tunes with single vocals. We know it’s only rock & roll… Tracks 14 & 20 come with *profanity warnings. Tracks 11, 14, 16, 18 & 19 are the least Vietnam-specific. Unless otherwise noted, all songs © 1992 Lea Jones & Marc C. Waszkiewicz ___________ From Mike Joyce at the Washington Post: "....originally intended to sound like… '60s rock, folk and blues… many of its themes still resonate. Loaded Gun, for example, concerns post -traumatic stress disorder: ‘Haunted by dreams you can't outrun / Now you share your bed with a loaded gun.’ Waszkiewicz & Jones… colorfully evoke a wide variety of moods on this recording.” Winner: Best Musical Documentary 2019 - Mindfield Film Festival - Albuquerque Winner: Best Documentary 2018 - Oregon International Film Festival See reverse side for track info!
