Instructions for use

Check your child regularly when using The Cot Canopy.

Do NOT use this product in conjunction with:a crib or cradle, a carry cot, a playpen or any other nursery product other than a cot or travel cot.

Do NOT let other children play unattended near The Cot Canopy.

When using The Cot Canopy, always make sure that the movable side of the cot is raised.

If the height of the cot base is adjustable, adjust to the lowest position of the cot base.

Before use, always ensure that the wide elastic corner band at the foot of each corner of The Cot Canopy is hooked UNDER the foot of the cot or travel cot.

It is recommended that at least one outer panel is left open during use. The darkened mesh will still provide a good degree of darkness.

The UK Foundation for Sudden Infant Death Syndrome recommends a room temperature of 16-20˚C. Adjust the number of open panels on The Cot Canopy accordingly. Remove The Cot Canopy if your child appears to be overheated.

Prolonged and direct exposure to bright sunlight can overheat The Cot Canopy. Limit its exposure to direct heat from the sun by, as necessary, moving the cot out of the sunlight etc.

Check your Cot Canopy regularly for any damage, particularly the clamp and hanger. The Cot Canopy is NOT a toy and must not be used except for its intended purpose of being fixed to a cot or travel cot.

REMEMBER: The safety of your child is YOUR responsibility.

THE CARE & MAINTENANCE OF YOUR COT CANOPY

G Stand in front of the cot or travel cot opposite

the hanger and pull up the green loop at the centre of The Cot Canopy (G1) and hook the green loop over the hook at the end of the hanger. You should have to use a little effort

to do this and you may need to pull the hanger towards you.

H If the corners of The Cot Canopy have been

pulled up with the action of attaching the loop to the hook, pull the corners of The Cot Canopy back onto the corners and adjust the sizing zips to best fit the size of the cot or travel cot which you are using, ensuring that excess fabric is secured behind the zips. The wider the cot or travel cot, the more likely it will be that the sizing zips need to be opened.

Pull the fabric tight from top corner to foot on each corner and tuck any excess fabric under each foot – this helps to keep the top corners in place.

Adjust the 3 lower over panels and 4 mesh and outer layer upper doors as required for the child and to provide the desired level of darkness. Take care to assess the temperature of the room, it is recommended that at least 1 outer opening is kept open, with just the mesh closed, for optimal viewing and air circulation. The mesh alone provides a good level of darkness.

NOTE: The top 4 access openings can be open, both layers fully closed or vented. The lower side panels can be vented, covered with the outer panels or partially covered using the poppers to secure up the outer panels. The back panel under the clamp is darkened mesh only and does not have an outer panel, to ensure consistent and comfortable ventilation.

Before using The Cot Canopy we suggest that you practice the set up and pack away technique. It will take about 3-5 attempts before you get used to it.

The permanent vents at the top of The Cot Canopy are made from high tensile spring plastic and occasionally a twist may occur if folded incorrectly. They can be adjusted back into shape by simply tracing the curve of the vent to the spot that has become twisted. Using both hands twist the curve so that it follows a smooth curve and holds the vent away from the mesh.
