Chronological Evolution of NVTI
• 1955 - Introduction of crafts instructor training in ITI with 2 trades
• 1977 - Upgradation as NVTI for Women. Introduction of Advanced Training Prog. in trades (1) Dress Making (2) Emb. & Needle Work
• 1978 - Introduction of Instructor (General) – POT
• 1980 - Introduction of Electronics & Secretarial Practice under ATP
• 1981 - Introduction of H&SC under ATP
• 1985 - Introduction of Basic Training Programme (BTP) in H&SC, Secretarial Practice, DTP, Data Preparation & Computer Software
• 1991 - Institute shifted to new campus at Noida
• 1996 - Introduction of the courses under MRC for instructions of Govt. & Pvt. ITIs
• 2001 - Establishment of Placement Cell
Activities of the Institute
The Primary activity of the Institute is Training.
Identification of Vocational Skill Training areas for Women.
Designing & Updating of skill training curricula.
Providing Skilled manpower to the Industry
Encouraging Self-Employment.
Providing Trained Instructors to the Institutes engaged in
Vocational Training.
Contacting various organizations & arranging campus interviews
for the Placement of Trainees
