Technology

Past, Present, and Future Most Demanding Consumers of Energy. Solutions to reduce the costs, prolong the life

of the equipment, and eliminate GHG emissions.

Technology, Past

Technology, Past

Focused on the building envelope. While these technologies were not high tech,

they made the most of the technology, materials, and practices of their time.

Most importantly, they worked to stop the leaks of air into and out of the building.

Page 6: WAP/ LIHEAP

Technology, Future

Harnessing Renewable Energy Sources:– Solar, Wind and Hydro.

Improving Technologies and Controls. Focusing on making these technologies

affordable.

Technology, Today.

Technology is great, but if we can’t afford it, what good is it?

What about guarantees, warrantees, independent testing, and past performance

Ideally, Energy savings that are realized through the integration of new technology with existing equipment and minimum training for existing maintenance personnel.

Technology, Today.

Remember, in order for WAP to be successful, everyone has to win.– The consumer has to save.– The government has to solve a problem.– The contractor has to earn a living.– The manufacturers must bring products to market.

Where Should We focus our efforts?

Energy Consumption

Page 11: WAP/ LIHEAP

Home Owners

Spend $160 Billion Dollars per year to Light, Heat, Cool and live in their homes.

The average homeowner spends $2500 or more on Energy Costs per year.

$1400 is spent on HVAC. For Every one Dollar we help Homeowners Save, they

improve their home values by $20 Our Focus must be on improving the efficiencies of the

HVAC systems and reducing the cost to operate.

Page 12: WAP/ LIHEAP

HVAC

Rip out old, Replace with High SEER Unit.– $4500 to $10,000 per system

Clean and Service Existing System. – ($79 to $150)– Freon Levels, Coil Clean, Condenser Scrub– Burner tuning, filter clean, duct sealing and

cleaning.

Is there anything else we can do?

Page 13: WAP/ LIHEAP

Cleaning is the Solution

An AC System looses 2% efficiency every year of operation.

What if we could clean the inside as well as we cleaned the outside?

Patented Refrigeration Technology

Used in Air Conditioners, Chillers, Heat Pumps and Refrigeration Systems

Compress Shield

Energy Consuming Factors– Compressor– Coil– Run Time

Page 16: WAP/ LIHEAP

Compress Shield

Increases efficiency- a pure lubricant with the characteristics of metal that transfer heat as it breaks up stagnant refrigeration oil in the condenser and evaporator restoring the system’s ability to transfer heat.

Reduces mechanical friction- By coating the metal surfaces of the compressor reduces friction, wear on parts, valve noise, oil foaming and maintains seal pliability.

Output Temperature is Reduced: Colder air at the registers. Reduces run time- by restoring system capacity through improved

heat transfer, compressors don’t need to run as long and cycle off sooner.

Compress Shield

Warranty runs concurrent with any current factory warranty or for 6 months if no factory warranty is in effect.

Manufacturer’s insurance has a general aggregate of $2,000,000 with St Paul Travelers Insurance Company.

Compress Shield installation procedures cover 1-120 tons and can be installed by standard pumps and injectors.

Commercial Sales

Compress Shield commercial sales include air conditioning, refrigeration and heat pumps.

Air conditioning and chillers --- office buildings, shopping malls, grocery stores, casinos, hospitals, schools, automobiles

Refrigeration, walk-in freezers and ice machines --- fast food, convenience stores

Heat pumps --- hotels, motels, apartments

COMPRESS SHIELD

Compress Shield customers include NASA, USPS, Lockheed Martin, Mobil, KFC, McDonalds, Wendy’s, Pizza Hut, Taco Bell, Harrah’s and many more.

ROI is typically less than 18 months. Compress Shield is used in air conditioners, chillers,

heat pumps and refrigeration systems. Compress Shield improves the efficiency of air

conditioners, chillers and refrigeration systems by restoring a compressor’s ability to transfer heat thus increasing the system’s cooling capacity.

COMPRESS SHIELD

There are 124,521,886 households nationally that would use 5 oz +/- to reduce energy costs $60-$75 annually, improve equipment-life and eliminate ½ ton of Green House Gas emissions / year.

The average automobile could improve it’s mpg by 1 mpg with the addition of ½ ounce of Compress Shield to it’s air conditioner. There are over 200,000,000 vehicles that would benefit from a Compress Shield treatment.
