IN AND AROUND WALTHERSON

Caroling at Angel’s Cove

Several years ago WIA was introduced to the wonderful folks at Angel's Cove, a private nursing

home in our area, which houses approximately 15 men & women. Since then, a small group of

us try to go each Christmas to sing carols, bring gifts, have some refreshments & visit with the

awesome folks who live there & who care for these people. They truly look forward to our visit.

Sometimes we have a guitar, or even a trumpet, or we may even have Santa pop in, but always

we walk away feeling filled with knowing we contributed to an elder's holiday spirit. I have yet

to finalize with Angel's Cove. We usually go around 6:30 pm. I will let you know at December’s

general meeting the finalized date and time. Please come out to 5404 Belair Rd, just north of

Frankford Ave. After the caroling, usually a few of the WIA members ride down to see the

holiday lights at 34th Street in Hamden.
