Walter was hanging out the washing for his mum. Shehad gone shopping and Walter was hurrying becausehe wanted to watch Saturday morning television.

He rushed indoors, put on the television and looked atthe TV magazine to decide which channel to watch.“Oh good,” he thought. He was just in time to watch hisfavourite pop programme.

As it hadn’t quite started, he dashed into thekitchen for a packet of crisps. Just as he openedthe cupboard door, he saw out of the corner of hiseye a gust of wind blow the washing off the line!

Once in the garden, he could see to his horror that thewashing had blown all over the neighbours’ back gardens.
“Mum will go mad!” he thought. “I’ve got to get it backbefore she comes home.”
