Out & About

We have been fortunate enough to be involved in an AWI funded trial focusing on facial recognition, run by NeXtgen Agri Ltd. The trial is opening up so many doors with great potential to digitally assess the physical & structural features of the animal. Only in its early stages, we can see this becoming a new tool for the livestock industry.

Our investment into predictability, is continuing into 2019, ensuring the genetics you buy are honest & reliable. Advancements into our adoption of the Smart shepherd mother technology, with improved results, averaging 95% for 2019. Total drop measurement of growth, wool & carcass.

Wallaloo Park genetics have been injected into a 100% composite flock as a trial with very promising results in gross returns. This was heavilydriven by the tremendous reduction in micron, 32 microns to 21.9 micron, in one cross. This very promising result returned the Wallaloo Park cross at a profit premium of $27/head, over straight composites from an annual return.

At Wallaloo Park we have always prided ourselves on delivering aconsistent, predictable product that clients have relied on for decades. In recent years we have been testing the waters of new traits. With those intact, we plan to deliver those back into the Wallaloo parkwools that have stood proud for years. Predictability is the key!!
