THE LEAGUE OF WALKERS IS A NATIONAL REGISTRY OF PEOPLE COMMITTED TO WALKING 30 MINUTES A DAY, EVERY DAY.

GO.

WHO? Anyone can join, whether you are just getting started with walking, or are already a daily walker.

WHY? When you fill out our digital postcard, we’ll post your name on our site to show your pledge. We’ll also send you a real postcard in the mail to display at home or work. And best of all, we’ll send you a nifty pendant to lace on your shoes or watch. When you advance to the next level of walking, we’ll send you a new pendant.

I walk days a week for 30 minutes. I walk because…

WALKERS GET 2 THINGS IN THE MAIL: POSTCARD + PENDANT. After submitting their information on www.leagueofwalkers.com, people get a postcard in the mail to post on their fridge or at work. This serves as a reminder of their pledge and also lets them publicly share their commitment with friends and family.

THE PENDANT DISPLAYS YOUR PLEDGE. People also receive a pendant along with the postcard to loop on their shoelaces or watch. This is a way to publicly identify as being part of this walking registry, and increases their sense of personal pride.  Like the coveted Tiffany's necklaces that finishers of the Nike Women's Marathon get, the pendants are like a badge of honor.   The physical postcard and pendant also act as a visible trigger to remind the person to continue walking, too.

AS YOU WALK MORE OFTEN, YOU EARN NEW PENDANTS. When people reach a new category of walking, they get a new color pendant, similar to advancing in levels of karate. This makes the pendants even more aspirational. BEGINNER
