This past week was a very eventful and exciting week for many of our Vikings. Our A and A/B Honor Roll Students were recognized. Report cards were sent home with students on Monday, October 29. Please make sure you view your student’s report card and let us know if you have any concerns.

Please have your student access their grades in ProgressBook and share with you. Your help is appreciated and needed in order to increase our efforts in helping your child become a successful Vikings.

AstroSkate PTSA Field Trip November 7Each student received a permission slip. We need parent chaperones!!!Cost $15 includes transportation, skate rental, face painting, and food.

Dress Code Reminders! Jeans with rips or tears above the knee must have leggings or tights under them

that cover the skin. See through leggings or tights are not acceptable. Backless shoes are not allowed on a K-8 campus. Hoodies and all head coverings are not allowed on campus. Shirts with suggestive pictures, drug references, weapons, or offensive language

are not allowed. All pants are to be worn at the waist. Please wear a belt if necessary.

It is imperative that all students follow the dress code. Violations can result in detention, referral, and suspension for repeated misconduct.

Teach-In 2018: "Be a teacher for part of your day!" Wednesday, Nov. 14th

OCPS Multilingual department and Corrective program is offering English classes for parents of English language learners (ELLs). Parents of Walker students and neighboring schools can enroll to participate in this program. Adult students will learn English skills in all four domains of speaking, listening, reading, and writing. Classes will be held at Walker MS every Wednesday from 4:30 PM – 6:30 PM. Please complete the form below and return it to Ms. Tisha Tolliver, Program Coordinator at Walker MS.

Families! Please encourage your students to display Walker Middle School PRIDE both inside and outside of school. As students walk home they should refrain from throwing trash on the ground, gathering in large groups, and entering our neighborhood yards. Please talk to your student about respecting property of the neighboring homeowners.
