BOX&CO WAS PROUD TO CONSTRUCT A SPECTACULAR NEW ENTERTAINING SPACE AT THE WALKABOUT CREEK DISCOVERY CENTRE.
The huge timber deck features architectural timber structural details, creating a dramatic venue for future Walkabout Creek events.
The deck frames the stunning native forest view and connects the existing function rooms and café.

WALKABOUT CREEK ALL DECKED OUT
WE'RE STILL ON THE JOB THE ENTIRE BUSINESS ENVIRONMENT HAS BEEN SENT INTO A PERIOD OF HIGH UNCERTAINTY DUE TO COVID 19.
The Australian Government acted very quickly and effectively with the implementation of the Jobkeeper and Jobseeker programmes.
These programmes, coupled with other government support will assist some companies with their viability.
The Government will need to initiate more widespread economic stimulus when these programmes end, to ensure a softer landing for our economy.
The construction environment remains highly competitive with less jobs starting across all sectors. This will only escalate over coming months.
Box&Co has been very fortunate in the short term by securing projects that have remained unaffected by COVID thus far.
We are anticipating further contraction across our whole industry before any recovery begins. The government will have a large part to play in this regard and should be well advanced in planning stimulus packages for 2021 and beyond.

A MASSIVE CONGRATULATIONS GOES TO DES BRODIE FOR TEN YEARS OF SERVICE WITH BOX&CO.
Des started out at Box&Co as a carpenter back in 2010.
After proving his abilities he moved into a supervisor role a couple of years later, which was then followed by another move up to Project Manager.
A decade on, Des now heads up the construction team as our Construction Manager.
Over the last ten years, we're proud to have witnessed the growth of Des, professionally, and follicly.

KINGSTON BUTTER FACTORY REDEVELOPMENT UNDERWAY
THE HISTORIC KINGSTON BUTTER FACTORY IS BEING TRANSFORMED INTO A CULTURAL HERITAGE AND PERFORMING ARTS PRECINCT AND BOX&CO IS ON THE JOB.
The $16 million transformation includes a world-class outdoor event space with a capacity of 5000 people and a 250m2 stage
capable of accommodating a 50-piece orchestra, touring bands or a music festival. The new stage area will also incorporate dressing rooms, a green room and storage facilities.
As part of the project, the historic Butter Factory building will become home to multi-purpose function
and event spaces, a new blackbox-style theatre, as well as a living museum.
The Kingston Butter Factory redevelopment is exciting news for the people of Logan and Box&Co is excited to be part of it.
